I had an absolutely gorgeous Blue Merle Miniature Australian Shepherd with one brown eye and one piercing blue eye for 14 years. He was the best dog ever. So funny, goofy, and silly and unbelievably smart. He was so endearing that I just wanted to hug him all the time (which he barely tolerated). Although Aussies (even the newer, smallish Minis) are high energy, they are amazingly loving companions for reasonably active people.
Good job on keeping her busy! A bored Aussie is a destructive Aussie. ❤️
We’re getting a mini Australian shepherd in the summer and watching this made me soooo excited!!! Love your channel! 🥰

Que bebezinho mais lindo,
We just got an Australian Shepherd three weeks ago and your dog looks just like mine!! Except it's a boy and he's almost three months . I've taught him some of the tricks you have taught yours! Going through the first few minutes I already have gotten some ideas, my dog eats his food way too fast too, sometimes he chokes or doesn't even chew his food so he throws it up!
@hoshinotyoshi

That’s exactly what happened haha, putting water in the slow feeder to kind of moisten the food helps too :)
I gave my golden retriever his first strawberry when he was 16 years old, he bout lost his mind haha

Hello, please, I need advice, my 4-month-old aussi doodle puppy eats very little and I don't know how to let him eat his croquettes but he doesn't eat much and sometimes he bites my children when he plays.
Incredible pup! Did you guys have to deal with intense puppy biting? Mine is biting everything as expected at 4 months, but LOVES my hands and feet. Any suggestions?
@hoshinotyoshi
Жыл бұрын
that's definitely a normal puppy phase - I would suggest redirecting the biting to toys, or to give them some kind of treat that takes a while to finish!
Love your channel so much! We are thinking of getting either a mas or sheltie. Recommendations? Can a mas live happily in a bigger apartment? How much exercise does a mas need?
@cobiyamamoto5005
Жыл бұрын
We have 2 MAS. They are 4 months old and are a HANDFUL 😆. They do zoomies around the house at least two times a day and are constantly wrestling. I think if you let them run around your apartment and take him/her out twice a day on walks it might be ok. MAS have a lot of energy.

I would recommend going through the AKC to find registered breeders. These breeders are usually held to higher standards and register their dogs through the AKC. The waitlist is usually much longer, but they’re much more reliable and usually have genetic testing done, which many other breeders don’t do, as it costs too much.

if you’re in america look through ASCA
Update !
It looks so fun owning an aussie puppy but its very challenging. My 4 month old aussie is a mess. He never stops biting me. He hates his cage even tho ive been crate training since he was 6 weeks old. Also there very active, but i take mine on daily walks to get his energy out

Adorable🥺 i am getting a black tri aussie puppy next week and i am super excited! How did you guys manage to bring her out while she still had to get the last shots of vaccinations? Anyway awesome video and greetings from italy 🇮🇹🤗
@hoshinotyoshi
3 жыл бұрын
That's so exciting! Before she completed all her vaccinations, we didn't take her out in public much (just the park that was in the beginning of the video), and if she was in public we tried to keep her away from other dogs. Whenever we brought her out to potty we would wipe her feet whenever we brought her back inside to make sure that she didn't lick any bacteria/viruses that might have been on her paws that could have been in the grass from other dogs! What are you gonna name your pup!

If you’re from another country, I would advise you look up what your country would recommend. Personally, I did not take my dog out to places. If I did, she was in my arms where other animals couldn’t get to her. And I think that was to a pet store once. Outside? Unless you have wild animals or rabid animals walking around your location, you don’t really need to take extra precautions. Just keep an eye on your dog. Make sure she doesn’t eat things she shouldn’t be while outside. If you know a dog has their vaccine, your puppy should be fine. Your puppy at that point, (if a reputable breeder) should have at least all first rounds of vaccines aside from Rabies.

My Aussie turns 6 months in a couple of days and she’s already passed 40 lbs 😅
I’m getting a mini Aussie in 6 weeks. Would you say that yours is particularly loud/destructive?
@hoshinotyoshi
3 жыл бұрын
She's never been very vocal, and we typically put away things that we don't want her to chew on, so she hasn't gotten the chance to be destructive!
@brittanylockwood6085
3 жыл бұрын
When they are puppies, they can be destructive as they go through teething like other dog breeds. So make sure you have plenty of chew toys and invest in playing with them with said chew toys. They will find ANYTHING to chew on. Shoes, toys, electrical wires. When they are older, they are usually not destructive unless they are being ignored/not given enough physical/mental stimulation. That is when they can become destructive. But as long as you’re fulfilling those needs, your Aussie shouldn’t be destructive unless you teach it destructive behaviors. Loud? Depends on training. Mine we trained to bark if someone is at the door since we have little kids around. So in essence, you might consider that loud. My oldest likes to growl when she’s playing with her toys. But I don’t say the vocals are any louder than another breed.
