My father would question my siblings and flew into a rage when he saw me watching an Islamic video. A couple years later, when I told my father that I was going to get married, he refused to meet my husband. Now I wear hijab with my father, he loves my husband, and we even take him to halal restaurants Alhamdulillah. May Allah forgive our parents and guide them. May Allah forgive us and guide us all. I can imagine how difficult it was. Being a mother myself my heart hurt for you. I converted in 2016 and my adult daughter moved to another state and now we haven't talked for a year. I pray every day to Allah to show her the straight path and lead her into Islam. I hope the same for your mother. May Allah give us peace.

My best friend older brother converted to Islam through ,I lose my best friend (he told me his parent disown his brother), but the guy I converted always try to get back to his family but they rejected him ,he stayed with me and brother ,we pray together read Quran and play a lot ,he always cry when he see his mother avoiding him ,last Ramadan his family accepted him back and I got my bestie ,everyone is happy ,they let him practice islam

Brother I know this feeling all too well I cried watching this . I became a Muslim almost 5 years ago I lost my relationship with my mother she even practically disowned me.. but Allah never did that to me he guided me even gave me a Son two months ago and a beautiful wife! I pray Allah softens the heart of my mom because I love her but I don’t know how to talk to her without being told I’m trying to force her when I’m just simply answering her questions.. I want my mom in heaven with me but I came to realize it’s up to Allah who he guides thank you Allah for guiding me! I love you

When i was in my teen, i was always scolded by my mother for not taking solat strictly and being a notty teen just like other normal teens do. Now i am thinking how blessed i am for having a mom who cared soo much about me religiously and at the same time feel so sad to hear stories the reverts are facing with regards to their mothers.

Just let everyone live as they want. If they want to be muslim, fine. If they want to be christian, fine. If they want to be Hindu, also fine, jews, jedi, I don't care. I’m a recent revert, and it’s comforting to me to see I’m not the only revert who struggles. It’s caused problems in my family, my brother tries to argue with me any chance he gets, he even cursed me. It is really hard, but even in a state of stress and arguments, shaytans attempt to rip my family apart, I still feel peace and contentment now that I have Allah with me.

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The gates of Paradise will be opened on Mondays and on Thursdays, and every servant [of Allah] who associates nothing with Allah will be forgiven, except for the man who has a grudge against his brother (in islam). [About them] it will be said: ‘Delay these two until they are reconciled; delay these two until they are reconciled.’” (Muslim, Malik and Abu Dawud)
