For some reason lots of this content is on my feed , I’m Australian and would love to do a project with my young boys doing this but as I’m in Melbourne the nanny state where can they drive them finished ?

Good question, Splashpit. I haven't really progressed the body on mine much past the stage you see it in the video (bare frame!). Probably mostly because I'm not sure where I'd take it. I just fanged it up and down a couple of dirt road outside my house, which is on the Mornington Peninsula. Hopefully, some wealthy landowner will become a patron of cyclekarts in Australia and there'll be land aplenty made available! Simon

Hi Simon is there a cycle kart club in Victoria or a place to start a forum? Have no response from cycle kart club Australia. It would be interesting see the amount of people willing to get together with the long term goal to holding events I am in the homework stage of building a cycle kart and would be great to talk to people on same venture.

Hi there Greg. It's a good question; to which I don't know the answer. I haven't advanced my project at all in the last year, partly due to the same issue. That is to say, if I knew there was a place to "race" mine with others, I'd be more motivated to put it ahead of all the other projects I'm trying to get through in my retirement! We desperately need a moderately wealthy benefactor who has a little land and is not overly concerned about, or at least is comfortable with waivers of, liability issues arising from drongoes like us fanging our homebuilt stylized go-karts around his/her paddock. Simon

Thanks for getting back to me. I believe there will be enough interest to start a club of sorts and i will put the feelers out about maybe a first meet. Loads of issues as you you said re liability and such. May take a little time. Thanks again. Greg
