I had one...she was the best ever.

The best dog my family ever had was an Aussie-Lab mix. Boy was.. our everything. Worst trait was he was a fence jumper, and it's how we ended up with him. He was basically the neighborhood dog because he'd jump fences to get food and play with kids and other dogs. His first owners had to move out of country so they gave him to us. He was taken before his time, and it hurts every time I think about it. RIP Miles.

I had a blue heeler growing up and she was the sweetest dog. So smart and very emotionally intelligent. I miss her every day. ❤

My Rascal is extremely protective of me. Follows me all over the house! It took time and patience but hes a great dog!!

It’s a tube, he most likely got into an accident and the tube releases any excess fluids whilst the wound is trying to heal

I think it was a drain. So its head had an injury (doesn't look like it was a very serious injury, could have been an abscess) and that was inserted to keep the wound open so nasties don't get stuck in there and cause infection.

I have a Border Collie he has a very similar “brief” to hes breed he lives and I mean LIVES for hes walks twice daily 3 sometimes if he’s restless I absolutely love herding breeds ❤❤

This breed is 12-16 years average. High variance due to injury. The average lifespan has gone up since less and less dogs are used for ranch work, which is very dangerous. Despite the dogs being extremely tough and agile, these dogs still face a high danger level doing such work.

True, but the recorded oldest dog was the Australian cattle dog. He lived to be 27 years old.

Yep. The way the dog bit the cow in the water, is what they do. Cows are stubborn and the dog needs to be tough and slightly agressive when working with them. These guys as pets get a bad wrap when they bite but its what they do and when bored and in the wrong hands, they can be an issue. Not saying its the case with yours though. Even the goodest boys still have the inbuilt urge to nip.

Best dog I ever had was an Australian Cattle Dog. We got him a doghouse for when we left and he pulled it by the chain 20 feet to the house and pulled the vinyl siding off the house for 6 feet up, the whole way down that side. We later got him a 10x10 chain link fence cage for when we left, he broke the fence where the links attach to the door and I came home to him sitting by the front door. He ate my entire easter basket for at least 5 out of his 8 years before his hips got the best of him. I doubt I'll ever have a dog ill love as much as that dog. Or one that will cost me as much 😂

My Uncle 3 heelers for cattle. They were super friendly with people. Absolutely could not be near or trusted with other dogs. The minute they seen one they would go crazy. They got a hold of my Grandpa's Yorkie and about killed him. Another incident occurred when my Uncle was taking them to the Vet and they seen another dog and jumped out of the open truck window and started to try to attack it. Luckily the other dog was in a car with rolled up windows. I don't understand why they acted like that because when they were puppies they were socialized. For some odd reason they liked cats.

I wish more videos like this would be made for German shepherds. German Shepherd’s are crazy dogs that need homes that will provide them with the exercise they need.

Yeah, I don’t know. My sister’s dog is constantly one to listen and follow anyone around. To be fair though, she is a 24/7 attention seeker, and one look of recognition has her tail wagging and begging for butt scratches. Maybe an exception to the rule? 😂

I got border heeler, very similar, she got attitude too, if she's tied to my truck, she way better than security system,she bit a guy I know, he opened the door to grab paperwork outta it, she clamped on his side lol, but I warned him , he thought she was all talk🤷🏽‍♂️

Is this the same as an Australian shepherd? I had a blue Australian shepherd I named Sheila. She was amazing. ♡

Droving is what Australians call moving cattle, especially in large remote areas. We also call it mustering or rounding up. Droving tends to be over longer distance between property's or to a destination like a stock sale where the Drover would camp out with the stock. You dont see it much now because of trucks being used to transport livestock.
