Another excellent days play. It was a fantastic fight back by Pakistan. Put a big scare through the Aussies before they settled. Hamza and Shaheen bowled beautifully. What a brilliant pitch this is. Massive Massive improvement by Pakistan on this tour.

They would rue those two dropped catches. Had they held on to them they could have easily bowled Aussies out for 125-150 leaving them a target of 200 odd in the fourth innings. Now they're staring at 300 as the potential target.

There's been some improvement in our bowling, mainly because fortunately, our T20 bowlers got injured, and Harris Rauf refused to play test cricket. Otherwise, the situation wouldn't have been different. Pakistani chief selectors only consider pace when choosing bowlers, and they select players based on PSL performance, which is absolute nonsense. It has been happening for so many years. Pace is important, but in Tests, only those players should be selected who are playing four-day cricket. PCB is only good at spoiling players. In two or three years, the pace of our bowlers reduced by 10 to 20 km, and they lack accuracy. Shaheen was the number one bowler a year ago, and now he is not even in the top 50 bowlers. On the other hand, Shami, Bumrah, Rabada, Cummins, Stark, Boult have been bowling at 140 for so many years despite injuries. They also bowl long spells without any reduction in their speed. This is why we are not doing good in test cricket and for last 14 years our bowlers are letting us down in Australia and South Africa. In Pakistan, we tend to appoint people to top positions who can be controlled, and the same thing is happening in PCB. The person's capability, honesty, and work ethics are not important.

Well done Pakistan bowlers. Shame those drop catches could cost them. But man Mitch Marsh what a wonderful year you are having! Resolute and stubborn! Reminds me of Symonds. Man who don’t go down without a fight and doggedly determined and hungry for a battle. Awesome cricket.

Players like Marsh are treat to watch ,He just start "Bison Ball" in test cricket .Sad he didn't get the ton !

Thanks to Shafiq, who dropped another slip catch off Marsh and here we are. what would have been an exciting day of cricket is now reduced to the formality of Australia winning at the end.

After India's disastrous first test against SA , I have realised the importance of good batting from the tail ; Shaheen & Jamal added up a decent amount of runs to the board with that aggressive approach ( which obviously doesn't work all the time but not going for it will also lead to nothing but an all out ) . The Indian tail doesn't even come close when it comes to batting.

agha salman is highly underated .in 2 innings he has contribution in 6 wickets .some beautiful catches by him.

Shafique been excellent with the bat, but i suspect his days as a slip field are over. Dropping Marsh was dropping the game.

Pakistani bowlers must sue the fielders...a part of match fee must be deducted and given to the bowlers if fielder drops the catch...that's the only solution to the problem
