Very well done. No annoying music and no pointless blabber. Just the train and the environment.

Beautiful report of both the ride onboard and view from the outside of the Ghan, well done! Greetings from Poland!

The train name "The Ghan" was named after Afghan camel, which was only way to travel through Australia's red center area before railway constructed.

I heard the train originally named for the camel drivers

Yes. Indeed, only one single train appears in this movie. I chased and filmed the Ghan from Katherine to Darwin on the first day, and rode the same train on next day from Darwin to Alice Springs, then filmed it again on the departure from Alice Springs.

I thought it was called the Ghan in honour of the many Afghans who worked on the railway.

3:18 is Darwin-bound Ghan crossing Ferguson River filmed from the northern bank, and between Stuart Hwy and railroad tracks looking to the SE. The bridge is about 25-30 miles SE of Pine Creek, Northern Territory (Google map coordinates -14.070093, 131.97659) 3:20-4:03 was filmed from Stuart Hwy overpass located about 15 miles SE of Adelaide River, Northern Territory (Google map coordinates -13.339834,131.212123) It's the same train at several instances throughout the video. Did you race Amesh?

Is it normal for australian trains to have bells like trains in the US?
@nathanstenner1794

Yes and no, many privately owned freight locomotives in Australia do have bells but they are mostly only used for shunting, and are non-existent on Government owned passenger locomotives and multiple units, the Ghan is a privately owned luxury passenger train that is pulled by privately owned freight locomotives and they have bills on them.
