Australia's Toughest Single Cab N70 | SAS + GU Diffs + 300hp? | Sussed With Sam Ep 2

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Is this Australia's Toughest N70 Single Cab? We think so! It's purpose built to tackle the toughest tracks this country has to offer and is as reliable as a stock standard vehicle. With such an impressive build, we couldn't not feature it!
It has GU diffs front and rear, 12" Kings Coilovers, almost 300hp, a built auto box, a high mount winch and so much more! Watch the episode now to find out what it can do!

The cool thing about capable rigs these days is the engineering. 4wds able to drive these tracks years ago would have been dogs on the road but you could probably jump into this tomorrow and do 1000km in comfort, decent safety and economy.

Mounting those remote reservoirs in the engine compartment was a bad idea. Those are just going to be soaking up engine heat and causing the shocks to fade much faster, especially once he starts doing that higher speed off-roading he was talking about. Shocks work by converting kinetic energy into heat energy and then dissipating that heat to the environment. Shocks are basically radiators. There is a reason when you look at Baja/trophy/stadium trucks and buggies, they all have their remote reservoirs mounted not only in open air, but in a place that will receive a lot of air flow. Doing low speed rock crawling, you probably won't have much of an issue.. But anything higher speed is going to overheat those shocks way faster than they would normally. I'd do whatever I could to get those reservoirs out of the engine compartment.

Hard to find a decent spot to mount them sadly given the size of the coilover and the canister.

@@SamYoung4x4 I agree. It is difficult. But I would find a way. Even if I had to get extended lines to connect them to the main shock body, or cut holes in the hood/fenders to get them outside the engine bay.
