Australia not out of the 'inflation woods’ yet

EV Chief Economist Cherelle Murphy discusses Labor’s 2024-25 federal budget and how Australia is “not out of the inflation woods” yet.
“At this particular point in time, I was surprised to see them move from quite a healthy surplus with a lot of fiscal discipline in it, to something that was quite opposite in the following year,” Ms Murphy told Sky News Australia.
“We have to remember that the following year is only six weeks away - we’re not out of the inflation woods yet, and I think it was just that little bit too soon to sort of take the brake off, if you like.”

Energy bills have grown by over $500 under Labor. Labor promised they would be $275 LOWER. Labor lied.
