Australia in the Vietnam War - returning to Nui Dat and the Long Tan Cross 50 years later

50 years since the establishment of the Australian base at Nui Dat, Vietnam in 1966, we head back for a look. There isn't a lot left from the Australian presence - but there's enough for interested travellers to make it meaningful. The Long Tan Cross replica is becoming a place of pilgrimage for Australians wanting to understand more about this decisive battle.

Well done for going to the effort to make this video, yep you correct about Dien Bien Phu & Long Tan memorials, they supposed to be the only two foreign memorials permitted in Vietnam, apparently the Vietnamese respected Aussies because we buried their dead

Hmmmmm. Don't recall exactly. It's around 200 metres from the road less than 1 kilometre from the old gate. Some of the guides there know it so you can ask them.
