I cried so hard when South Africa lost in the semi-finals in 2015. I used to watch every single match of the South African team around that time. They meant everything to me, especially you, AB de Villiers; you were my idol. I loved everyone: de Kock, Rilee Rossouw, Amla, Faf, Duminy, Miller, Dale Steyn, Morkel, Imran Tahir, Kyle Abbott. That was my dream team. You guys were my passion, especially the #ProteaFire videos. Those videos really motivated me. I can't explain what you meant to me, AB. I tried to emulate your style when I used to play cricket. People bullied me so much because of my obsession with you and the South African cricket team, but nothing stopped me from supporting you. You are the best batsman to me, and you will always be. Now i don't see cricket that much but I really miss my team the South Africa 2015 squad..🙂

David Warner one the greatest batsman in the world. He is unstoppable once he starts going.

This is the first time I have watched this show but it won't be the last. AB is so informative and breaks down in layman's terms the complexities of the game. As an Australian, I wish he had been born here where he would have been ranked as one of our greats. Instead, he remains one of South Africa's greats. His neutral assessment of what happened in the final is the best I have heard to date.

The greatest batsman irrespective of format is ABD. Never seen a batsman like you sir , You were just exceptional in every format .

Great show AB. Sneaky interview with Warner in the departure lounge was terrific. I would go so far as to say the team fielding in the first innings was close to the greatest i have seen. It was near perfection. Not for any individual efforts, but the way they were managed and placed by Cummins and lack of any mistakes by his men. He put a foot on India's throat and refused to let them get up. The highlight came when Yadav tried to ramp it over the keeper and suddenly Starc was already there on the fence at very fine 3rd man. They did their homework and frustrated India. It was a superb team effort.

Just Thinking one thing, Marnus Labuschagne was not part part of the Initial Squad Proposed by Australian Cricket Board for the World Cup, He was included later on because of his performance in the ODI Series against South Africa in September 2023 when he helped the Aussies win the match when they down to 113-7, he was not playing that match and came to bat as a concussion substituition in place of injured Cameron Green and he helped Australia chase the 223 runs along with 100+ partnership with Ashton Agar who was part of the Intial CWC 2023 squad. In the Second match against South Africa when Australia scored a 392 runs in the First Innings where Travis Head got a very quick firy start along with David Warner aka Pushpa who himself got a century also back in his good form of ODI cricket, it was a pride watching Marnus Labuchagne who scored 124 runs and cleared the thoughts of the Australian Cricket Board selectors who doubted him that he can't make an impact in ODI game, later on he was added and was part of the Final Squad fo Australia for the 2023 Cricket World Cup and who thought he wouls playing a Crucial Knock of 58 Runs in the Final, Marnus Labuchagne is truely a remarkable player and a remarkable world cup for him to be remembered and special appluase and Hat's of to his family members and especially Marnus Labuchagne's Mother who was in total belief that his brave son is going to play the First ODI match South Africa in the September 2023 series where he was not part of the Playing XI in that match but came as a concussion substitute and paved way to contribute to Australia for Winning the Title 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

@@george2009town Yup Buddy, Like his dived fielding in his backhip saving not only 2 crucial runs but also got Jeemy Neesham runout with his throw from deep the boundary rope, 6 runs needed from 1 ball after that for New Zealand to Win that cwc match at Dharamshala and Australia won the match by just 5 runs, It was Labuschagne who literally changed the fortune of the match in favour of Australia with his briliant contribution of his fielding effort, though his batting was bit little slow that day, Otherwise Australia would have scored past 415 runs the way they had got the start. I mean if you look the entire process behind that runout you will find how important that dive was to make that happen.

People also forget Marnus had a very important innings in the game against England after Australia looked like they were having a batting collapse he hit 70 runs and top scored for Australia. When he couldn’t contribute with the bat he was always excellent in the field.

I'm a huge fan of David Warner on the field. I mean he is 37 years old but can put even a 17 year old to shame on field of cricket. He is blazing fast and always probably the most reliable fielder for Australia.

Most of the games that India played in this World Cup were on batting-friendly pitches. However, a mistake was made by placing Surya at no. 6/7 in the tournament. The decision overlooked the fact that most of India's top-order batters scored well on these friendly pitches. Additionally, India's top six batters were right-handed, posing a vulnerability against strong bowling attacks. I believe that if India had played against New Zealand in the semifinal on slower pitches, they would likely have lost the match. Fortunately for Australia, the BCCI prepared slow pitches for the finals, catching India off guard. These pitches, unlike those played throughout the season, added extra pressure on all Indian players. Had the BCCI provided pitches favoring both batting and bowling, India might not have achieved 10 straight wins, making them more formidable in the final. At the end of the day, as always, Australia pulled the right strings to win the World Cup. Congratulations to Australia! They deserved it

Sir. Aravinda De Silva from Srilanka. 1996 Semis 50+ Finals 100+* Chasing & winning the match. Both Semis were in Kolkata & 1996 final in Lahore & 2023 was in Ahmedabad.

Whoever made the call to create that pitch helped give the cup to the Aussies. Instead of backing the Indian batters, they lost faith. Interestingly, Sharma said he would have batted if he won the toss. If we take him at his word, then he didn't read the conditions as well as the Aussies, so they were always going to be on the back foot.
