I like Austin, more laid back than Dallas was. A lot of hippies hang out here which makes it strange, but I love the scenery and never want to pass up and opportunity to come here.

I can remember going to party on 6th street 20 yr. ago , but don't remember those bike carriages. Nice video.

As someone who has lived in both Houston and Plano, I can tell you that Austin really has an amazing culture and nightlife. Dallas and Houston go to bed at 9pm on weekends and 10pm on holidays. Nothing good happens in Houston especially late at night. Austin is the safest while most lively city in Texas (haven't been to San Antonio much but my sister has never acted impressed with that city).

san antonio is great its the oldest city and definitely has that charm. the riverwalk is very cool. definitely visit it.

That is a really cool video, epic! Loved the colors during the Dual Deck section. You now hold the record for the longest highway video :) Also, I agree with Bryant on the Speed Limit sign location, that stupid arrow on YT blocks them out.

Excellent videos. Austin freeways seem to be in great condition meaning they are well paved. I also notice that drivers are always driving faster and keeping ahead of you. I miss that style of driving, sort of destination in mind. Here in Seattle, they drive 10 under the speed limit and drive like they don't have anywhere to be until two months from now.

Such a beauty.

austin is beautiful one of my favorite cities easy to get around less congested than houston or dallas or san antonio

Troy Barnes Not even. Austin has the worst traffic of any major city in Texas. There is a reason this was filmed late at night. During the day, you would have seen a mile or two of footage.

First Thursday of the month, a huge gathering of people on Congress Ave. Selling everything you can imagine and more!! Good place to hang for the tourists!! Pecan Street Festival in May and (I think) September. The best time to just spend a lot of money and make a wish list for next year!!

FYI, Cesar Chavez is nowhere near as appealing an entrance into Downtown Austin from Mopac as is 5th. Otherwise, decent, if not strange video of Austin's freeways . . .

How times have changed. I miss the days when you could drive on Mopac without it taking four hours to drive to the other side of the city.

I really hope I move there it seems like a perfect place to live :)

I don't like a lot of people in Austin, not because of their preferences/acceptance of others that stereotypically a lot of Texans are against, but more of younger college kids and their entitlement and calling everyone and everything racist. I also hate driving in Austin. Too many new people who go slow. I do like the night life though. I am in my early 20s and I like Dallas more and lived there, but it is boring in regards to night life and young people just having fun. You meet all kinds of people in Austin from all over the world from different backgrounds, and that is what I like about it. Bell County has some interesting geography and San marcos can be fun. I wish Dallas had some more fun places. If 35 wasn't always such a mess I would go to Austin more!

miguel sanchez I am sorry, this is not true. Austin is a place you can't just see, you have to be in the city, having fun, and really get immersed in the culture and night life. :)

TATER512 The Colorado River of Texas (which flows east to the Gulf of Mexico), different than THE Colorado that goes to AZ,NV,CA and Baja before emptying into the Sea of Cortez
