Austin A30 1954 back to life again RUO 888

RUO 888 has been coaxed back to life and now on the Bradbury lift pending an assessment of the work needed underneath. Loose and mixed up wires on the coil seem to have been an issue perhaps preventing it running when it went under the hammer last Saturday in Kings Lynn. Just jumped off battery at moment ditto SU pump. Sounds very eager and had brief run up lane. Nice light clutch. Gold seal 1098 Code A D so std bores and - 020" on crank when supplied new. No idea when or how many miles ago though Service Log Book by P Pike & Co , Alphington Street, Exeter does show it was at 89058 miles on 4 Sept 1974 so thinking this replacement was probably installed before that. A Mr G Reardon seems to have had it in 1961 and for a long time thereafter and been very regular in servicing up to 1969.Then a 5 year break. Sorry about the poor video.
