Austar - Channel Surfing and TV Guide (3.10.1999)

Ойын-сауық

An average days channel search on Austar from Sunday the 3rd of October 1999. The reason why this was recorded is beyond me...
Also quite a number of these channels either no longer exist or were renamed.
Equipment:
VCR - Panasonic NV-FJ620.
Ripped from a Cheap Excel E-180 VHS Tape recorded in SP Speed and Mono Audio.
Captured on a Panasonic DMR-BWT955 Hard Drive Recorder in XP quality. Edited and Encoded on Adobe Premiere Pro and VirtualDub2.

I totally remembered the good ol' days of Movie One and Movie Extra when I was growing up. Both those stations made no difference with films going back 14 years, up until around 2001 when Movie Network decided it was best for Movie Extra to release older films with occasional premiere releases on a Saturday night. Those times were very simple and convenient with the then-unknown Austar.

This takes me back to when I had Foxtel and it looked like this. Looks like the child lock was enabled and that is why some channels are blank and the key icon is displayed in the bottom right.
