Fielding placements and catching/fielding abilities are such might and day differences between these two sides. The catching was the worst I’ve seen in years from a team tbh, which you can’t do against Aus because they’re consistently brilliant in the field

Agreed. That's not to diminish the achievement of course, and the women's team has been outstanding, both in terms of performance and behaviour. But the quality of their opposition, comparatively speaking, has not been the same that Ponting's team was up against.

The difference between the Australian womens and the Australian mens team is not skill , its the natural pyshical difference between men and women , men are stronger , faster and jump higher than women , the world champion womens US soccer team were beaten by a under 16 boys college team so did the Australian womens soccer team , thats how big the pyhsical gap between men and women is When I watch the women bat , as a coach , I can see they have to be more correct in their batting because they cant just muscle the ball over the boundry

Catches win matches, simple as that. Drop that many and you can't think you'll win.

@@worldloverandsupporter6638 Their performances over the last few years have dipped seriously..sometime back NZ women were in the same bracket as Aus and England..but the last few years specially after the 2017 tournament, Australia have distanced itself from the other teams..then comes England and Indian women teams ..Nz is a distant fourth along with SA. Aus were brilliant but NZ performance was appalling..they were not able to even compete ..Eng or Indian women would have given a tougher competition to the Australian ladies.

There really is no comparison between this team and Pontings, they play the same sport and that is it. It is small things like this that helps a once great nation like Australia slide into the abyss.
