The Aussiedoodle is considered a designer crossbreed between the Australian Shepard and the Standard or Miniature Poodle. I hope you notice that I said designer crossbreed, meaning that the breeder intentionally breeds this dog to get a certain look. So instead of calling these dogs mutts they are what you call a designer dog.
Aussiedoodle range in height from 14 to 23 inches and they can weigh anywhere from 25 to 70lbs. The life expectancy is 10 to 14 years. The aussiedoodle does not have an official dog breed because it’s not recognized American Kennel Club due to the fact that it is not a purebred.

One bad thing about the Aussie Doodle. They are smarter, faster, and have 5x the reflexes that you do. If one of them has something in their mouth that they don't want you to have, you ain't getting it from them without giving them something more motivating in return.

I've only had my Aussiedoodle puppy for a week. She is already crate and potty trained! She learned her name very quickly, and now knows how to walk on a leash too! I even taught her some additional tricks just for fun. She learned how to roll over and fetch in just one day. They are very smart dogs!!

Keep your Aussie active. Because either you get him something to do or the Aussie WILL find something to do. Also expect it to find its own solution to problems. Not always the one you expect (Ie "why jump the hurdle when I can dive under it"). At least the ones based on the Large or Standard poodle based since the Poodle has the same tendency. Saw a poodle once that was told to "fetch" from the water. The Poodle likes water but is not the biggest fan of cold water. So instead of going straight for the toy it went down an path, on a pier and once as close as possible to the toy went into the water...

I really have enjoyed your video. Unlike other videos, you don’t speak to fast giving us time to process all the information. I also love the music. With that being said, I’m struggling to choose between a Golden doodle, Bernedoodle or Aussiedoodle. I can’t decide which, aghh...

An Australian shepherd mix was the best dog I ever had! But Aussies are incredibly smart and even devicesive to the point where they need constant attention and supervision. Aussies are also working dogs, which means if they don't have some kind of task to do they get moody and will tear things up. Still If I got to choose, there's no question, I would go with the aussiedoodle. But the other two I'm sure would be less demanding, especially the golden doodle.

Hi, Dog Solid or Aussiedoodle owners with cats! I've read such mixed opinions, but I'm worried that the herding instinct and high energy might be a bit much for a cat (even for my dog-loving cat). If I get a puppy, is there a way to train it to not harass my cat?

I had an Aussie for 16 years with cats and never had a problem. When I first got my Aussie as a pup, the adult cats were normal cats and hissed, etc., but the Aussie learned quickly, from the cats, and they peacefully co-existed afterwards. The kittens decided he was their best friend and got on famously. That seems to be the normal story. The poodle may be a little more aggressive since they're a game dog, but I've only seen that once in a Labradoodle, who had a very high game retrieval instinct, but that is very uncommon. I've also had a few poodles with cats, and everyone got along fine. Cats are very good at training dogs.

Hi, I am interested in buying a poodle mainly because they don't shed. I have a son with allergy asthma and he showed a mild reaction to dogs and cats. Just wondering will this breed be good for him...

My is a long haired Aussiedoodle and he does slightly shed. I have heard that sometime when you get them groomed they stop shedding? Maybe if you got one that has more of the poodle fur then the Aussie fur.

And VERY powerfull jumpers/sprinters. In Europe the Standard Poodle is split in two subgroups. The bigger one (called a Königspoodle/King Poodle) is one of the fastest dogs in the world. A 60 pound Aussie can with 2-4 Meters of acceleration jump around 150+ cm high without problems. That means they can easily jump on sofas (and climb well as well as soon as it learns to get its slightly oversized rear in motion first)
