Aussie 7 Day: Wintry outbreak with southern snow & northern frosts
Ойын-сауық
Another cold southerly is about to blast into the southern and then eastern sides of Australia, dropping temperatures, bringing snow to the mountains, ranges and plateaus and frosty weather as far north as Queensland. Even Darwin will notice the slight cooler change next week.
The wintry southerly is thanks to a storm in the Southern Ocean followed by another very powerful high pressure zone.
Hot weather is still around - mostly in NT and the north-west of WA.
We have your 7 day forecast + 7 Day Rainfall map for farmers, growers and those relying on rain water.

Thursday morning 7am - raining (yeah!) and 13C in Port Broughton SA. Love your work Phillip! I lived west of Rocky in Mount Morgan for 20 years - it was not unusual to get very low temps in winter with bird bath water freezing completely, lots of frost and having to break a decent amount amount of ice on the horse troughs. PS I've been to both beaches and the one in NZ is the best :) (Those sand dunes!) 😁🦘🦘🦘

Cheers for the report Phil. I always find it amusing that 90 mile beach in NZ is 55 and 80 mile beach is 155 miles. We always thought the Aussies exaggerated more, growing up in NZ. 🤣

Hiya Phillip from Kempsey NSW, you mentioned Kempsey recently in a forecast, Kempsey has a regional airport you could simulate into, I recommend flying in over Dorrigo for some amazing sights.
@WeatherWatchTV

Hey thanks for that - actually Dorrigo was one of my first flight sim videos I put on this channel. LOVED the giant drop away canyon from the township... nicely breathtaking. Also had to KZread how to correctly say "Dorrigo" which I nailed in my video (can't say that I've had that success for other locations!!)

Showers in Parkes on and off for 5days
Well we didn't get any of that rain coming east the other day at Cranebrook. So disappointed! Maybe in the next lot? I don't like the sound of the cold weather coming our way, though I am more equipped now as my g/daughter gave me a very warm double thickness 'oodie' as an early birthday present which is being well worn. Type it into google & I am wearing a lime green one with cactus plants on it. She loves cactus, I love lime green!! 🤣

Hahaha! Love it! Stay warm - and sorry you didn't get that rain. This "hit and miss" stuff can be very frustrating when you need it.
Kiora Phillip What's the kiwi keep warm thing to wear 🤔 I've heard of a 3 dog night. Dogs thermal mass keeps the Inuit alive. Na, I've a dachshund cross. It isn't a jot dog 😢 Solar 4,00ft air plummet. Bet your glad you flew the Cessna last week. 😅 Well, if the wilderpeople" and do it, then I'm sure I can. 🎗

Is Rocky in drought? Looks drier than I thought it would be. Thoroughly enjoy the flight stimulator vision. Very cool tech.

Computer graphics definitely do NOT reflect real GROUND conditions - only sky. As WeatherWatch is not (yet) based in Australia we don't really comment on soil conditions compared to normal but have seen those FlightSim graphics badly demonstrate some parts of the planet (but it's still awesome!).

@@WeatherWatchTV the thing is, the temperatures in the first half of the 20th Century were much warmer. The amount of adjustment to the observed data around the world has trashed the validity of the temperature record. Science and society are the losers.
