hey Abby, honestly this is the clearest and the best demonstrated Auslan video on youtube. Kudos to you!! I've been trying to find sources to learn Auslan but its so hard to find and very less material available. Thanks so much for the video, would really appreciate if you could do more videos on it. cheers!

If you truly would like to learn Auslan I would suggest looking at the Auslan Anywhere website. It is a collection of short videos created by members of the Deaf community who are fluent within the language designed to teach anyone Auslan.

Some people may write right handed but sign left, that’s perfectly normal!
It's been four years so you a) might not see this and b) if you do, you might already know this, but as this video is super helpful, I am hoping my tip will also be slightly helpful: While I think your hands look fine, if you are worried, put some light moisturising cream on your hands (and only hands) before putting the fake tan on. The cream stops the tan seeping into any of the cracks/dryness on your hands/fingers (especially in the webbing area). Thank you so much for such a helpful video.
The 'your' perspective helps so much. I never got very far when I learnt this in school but have found many situations where it could've helped me in adulthood.

Thanks Abby! I can now do the whole alphabet in 11 seconds!
Excellent Abby, you have encouraged me to practice the Auslan alphabet, thank you.
Hi Abby. I am a beginner, learning sign language. I liked how slowly you signed the alphabet. It made it easier for me to pick it up. Thank you. Yes more videos would be great.
This is absolutely amazing, thanks so much for this! I've been getting myself hopelessly muddled trying to figure out the dominant hand of people on youtube and which part of the sign should be dominant. Thanks so much for such a clear explanation. Also the "your perspective" bit is amazingly helpful - that's another thing that had been stumping me.
I'm a newbie & I'm soaking up all these awesome lessons.. I'm so glad that people care enough to teach hearing people like me how to sign!!.. you guys are the greatest!!
Thanks for making this! I was struggling to learn watching other resources. Even though I'm left handed your video was the easiest to learn from! It's the only one I've found with the signs from your own POV and it made all the difference. You're really good at explaining and I appreciated how you kept describing the position of the dominant hand/fingers.
Hello Abby your video was clear and easy to understand, I’m able to remember the alphabets because of you. Thank you so much please make moreeee 😭😭
This was the best tutorial. I appreciate you doing the box with our point of view. Thank you so much
This was super helpful! Thank you! Please definitely do more Auslan videos
thank you for this video Abby! so easy to understand and follow!
Best Abc demo I have seen. Keep up the good work 🙂💯
Abby! You are so amazing, thank you for making this video so informative and easy to follow 👏
I've recently started learning Auslan and it's so hard to find good info. This is a great video please do more!
I hope you will do more Auslan, you are a great teacher.😊. Some people just have the natural talent.
Thank you so much for explaining that so clearly. I had my first class the other day and they didn't have any print outs and they went through the alphabet too quickly. I really struggled as I am not a fast learner. I just watched a different video but your explanation and demonstrations were much clearer. I liked that you had the different angles of videos for those of us who are right handed
really good audio, light and video quality. very easy to understand. thank you
Thank you! I’m still in primary school but I’ve recently become really interested in Auslan and how sign language works. This helps a lot, because I have a classmate that has hearing problems and I really want to be able to learn ASL. This was very clear so thank you!!

This is great !! Thanks so much, I would really love to see more Auslan videos from you 😊 so clear and easy to understand.. as someone who is going deaf I really need to start learning hahah cheers

This is so lovely, thank you for leaving a comment! I'll definitely make more now that I know people are finding it useful. I'm so sorry to hear you are going through such a big transition, I hope you are well, happy signing! 😊
Awesome work x I recommend recapping all the letters as you go from the beginning, so do a, then b, then a b, then c, then a b c and so on 😊
I’m only starting to learn auslan and I found your video excellent, I’ll be using your video often to learn auslan
I learnt it in the 70s but thought I should revise. Like falling off a bike, you never forget!
Easily the most clear video on auslan alphabet. Thanks I appreciate you teaching it, a skill I'll use forever thank you so much 🥰

Hey this is Courtney Cassidy from primary school 💞 This is an awesome video and informative because I’m trying to learn auslan xo
Wow! Im in the US and have heard that sign language is different throughout the US itself. Auslan is so much different than ASL: using both hands for the letters instead of one hand. I was watching The Wiggles and had to look Auslan up! Thank you for sharing!
This is awesome. Really want to learn and this is a great start.
I know a bit of American Sign Language, and it is so interesting to see the variations across different sign languages
Thank you for making this video, so useful!
please do some more videos like this!! i love learning Auslan

Thank you this was so helpful! It was really easy to understand thank🤗😊
I started learning sign language in grade 5 since my aide also worked at the Victorian College of the Deaf and I saw it in my dictionary and I thought it was so interesting.
Thanks Abby, this was easy to follow.
Thank you so much, this helps me a lot!
Thank you! My daughter loves learning new signs so I’ll show her this video and we can learn to sign the alphabet together.

Thanks so much for this video, helped heaps💯
Abby very good job, easy to follow, thank you more videos would be appreciated. Cheers John
Hi Abby. Brilliant. Can we have some more, please? You make sign look so easy.
great instruction! i have subbed ... hoping for more Auslan videos
Thank you Abby
Thank you Abby so much. When I was in kindy we learnt auslan and I forgot it. I would search it up and the only letter I remembered was M but every time I searched it up it didn’t com up with the Auslan way. Thank you 😊.
This helped so much I have a deaf coworker and I want to learn to communicate with him
I have some ASL background which for me is much easier using just one hand instead of both for the alphabet. It's going to take me a while to get the hang of these.
Thank you Abby Leah
I have learnt so much from you thank you so much can you maybe do more like greetings and introducing your self
Good job for teach me .. I am Malaysian deaf and future Australian citizen
Neat, I can sign my name now! :) thanks!
I have an Aussie friend learning AUSLAN. I'm American and have been using American Sign Language since '91. I've noticed that there are some things that are very similar to each other and some things that are radically different. Like fingerspelling. Which, to be fair, is not too surprising as they are different languages.
this helped me so mush thank you ;)
This is awesome! Thanks :)

i learned the alphabet off by heart in yr 3 just so my friends and i could talk in class and stuff without people knowing. i dont even know how we learnt, we didnt have books or videos or anything lol.
I still say Zeeee to hahaha don't know why it isn't actually. It rhymes with the song after all !
Good job.... ASL. I am from Meghalaya (India)
Thankyou very much! :D)
Thank y oh !!!
You didn't HAVE to fake tan. Pale skin is beautiful. You have light eyes and hair, so pale skin would look more flattering on you than orange paint.
Did you continue learning Auslan? There are some deaf people at my work who sign, so I'm just learning a little bit here and there.
serious question wouldnt it be eaier and effiecent to use asl one handed leters signs
Yes please
Warren Lewis HAPPY 😃
I'm deaf and never learnt, I'm over 70 single, live in the bush and very rarely come in contact with people except my doctor and the bloke that brings my tucker. He also gets my phone recharge vouchers I get along with pencil and paper after l left school at 13. The horses and dogs understand me.
Does it matter if u use dominant hand or non dominant hand ?? I don’t see why it would matter cos how will the person know which one of my hands is dominant ???
If I’m left handed can I use my left hand even though it’s backwards
Please do more Auslan tutorials.
The AUSLAN alphabet is the same as BSL. Would you say they are quite similar to each other in general?
TYSM this helps so so much
I randomly got sick and then got better but I can barely hear anything, and when I run and have my heart beat increasing I can hear it loudly but cant hear what ppl are saying to me
Good
Can sign language during travel and restaurants or area ?
this is the exact same language as british!!
