Indeed. :) That's one of the things I like most about her voice....she often does that Celtic sounding keening thing, it's not yodeling per se, but she uses lots of chest to head voice flipping. But it's always so smooth....and gives her voice such an airy crystalline quality that I just adore.

She is such an amazing creature...

that laughter at the end there... omg, I love her.

I love this, Aurora! Bahahaha, I am one of those old people who have lived through John Farnham's Career and comebacks...and comebacks...well you know what I mean lol. This version is BRILLIANT!

Very beautiful I must say. I love AURORA but O.Martin and his guitar playing brings the best out of this girl. We have a very small venue, it's like an underground bar byob, pay at the door for close friends and family and other musicians. Would give my life to have these two in front of me. The same owner owns a studio, North Bay, Ontario, Canada. Just diagnosed with liver cancer on valentines day, waiting on tests and biopsy, but will be in Toronto Canada Mar 2nd 2019. I,ll be the one that has orders to bring a wheel chair,but will be standing for my Queen and her bandmates. And I have like 400km's to travel to the Danforth Music Hall

The thing is, for us Aussies this song is almost a 2nd national anthem, and as much as i love Aurora this song is butchered here, again i love her a lot but if you actually knew the original and hear it as much as us aussies do you would know how bad this is

Because it has such significance to you it makes sense that you like a certain aspect about it that this version doesn't have - that doesn't make this one bad, your sentimentality kinda gets in the way. That's for lack of a better way of putting it since I don't think it's a bad thing for you to dislike this, I'm literally just saying that it's a matter of opinion and perspective. And what do you mean by "that's the point"? If something is a cover, the _point_ is to keep the melody/lyrics of a song while changing different aspects of it to make it your own (in a way). The point isn't how people react to it in comparison to the original, that's just a by-product.

Aurora is incredibly talented and awesome! I love all her music! She is very creative and expressive! This song reminds me of a 60's Peace Rally and Aurora and Martin were jamming there! It's the perfect look and fits! I Love Aurora!

I love this! It's one of her more overlooked covers. Though, she's done a LOT of covers...so it's easy to miss them all. This is one of those songs I've always known about and heard throughout life, but couldn't have told you who it was originally by. I have a feeling lots of people might feel that way about this song. But it's excellent, and Aurora's spin on it is as well. :)

Except for every person in Australia, who knows exactly who sang this song. John Farnham is an absolute icon here, and probably our most beloved musical artist of all time, with a career spanning 6 decades.

@@Saan42 I must've just missed that. Plenty of Aussie bands I love quite a lot tho. Pond is brilliant. And Silverchair is utterly criminally underrated here in America. After that first album they kept progressing into one of the most powerfully creative bands ever. Daniel Johns is a legitimate genius. But barely any of my fellow Americans know anything besides "that song about kitchen sinks or whatever.." 🙄

John is always best listened to live, as he is perfection on a stage, both vocally and with his stage-presence. Won't wax too lyrical, but we really do love him here. :) This is his version of You're the Voice, his most famous song - an absolute anthem in this country, every Australian knows the words.
