It is so impressive how many different versions Aurora and her bandmates are able to make of a song, the one better than the other. You never get tired of a song! They are so talented. They should make a record only with these down stripped versions. Would be the best record ever!

I personally think that all of AURORA songs shine the best when they are played live and with only real instruments. They surely should do a more visceral record with an unplugged vibe.

I agree, more acoustic, even slightly folksy albums . Ones with that raw spontaneous "one-take" feel ... coupled with those close, personal, cracked and breathy vocals she does so well. Nothing translates quite like the raw honest beauty of imperfection - especially when delivered as though to an audience of one. An 'intimate' acoustic album would turn me to a pool of liquid on the floor, and I'm betting I'm not the only one. I mean, know she can do commercial pop, and you need some of that to fill a hall... But for me it's her unabashed honesty and fearless intimacy where she truly shines. Even in interview she seems to come at life as a child would and it's engrossing... that is her true musical superpower! When she taps that, find ourselves yearning to see the world through her eyes, and when she sings in that mode - well, for a moment I reconnect with the very best vesrion of myself... the child... full of optimism and wonder. An increasingly fearful world needs that.

This is a great song for her. I'm an atheist, but ... If there _was_ an earth-mother goddess, then Aurora would be her daughter. When I see her in interviews, she's the definition of a free spirit, she just oozes love and acceptance. She seems to live her life exactly the way she sings.... with passion, wonder and a childlike exuberance. I watch her 'just be' and become engrossed by her beautiful honesty. I find myself yearning to see the world through her eyes. Then, I feel resentful that I lost that part of me - that I allowed the world to strip me of my childhood innocence and encumber me with fears and obligations ... ... but, then she sings and those pieces of me just seem to dissolve for a moment. I become a calm sea. And just for one perfect moment, there is only the moment itself, and I am free. So, thank you Aurora, for your gift. May love and light follow you all of your days.

No sentience required for Earth to be like a mother. Our Earth gave and continues to gives us life. That is unless we humans continue pushing things further out of equilibrium, and much like a virus, we kill our host. Genetics, a unique set of ingredients in her upbringing, a bit of fortune, and full support for her endeavors is what lead to this person and the music and enlightenment she's sharing. The world can be full of magical things, and wonderful people. When watching her, I'm sure people wonder if "It couldn't possibly be that easy could it"? It could be... we have the choice to be whatever we want in our lives, to treat others how we want, and there's no age restrictions with making changes to our own lives. We just have to be willing to take a risk, open ourselves up, and give it a try.

LYRICS // Just like the seed I don't know where to go Through dirt and shadow, I grow I'm reaching light through the struggle Just like the seed I'm chasing the wonder I unravel myself All in slow motion You cannot eat money, oh no You cannot eat money, oh no When the last tree has fallen And the rivers are poisoned You cannot eat money, oh no You cannot eat money, oh no You cannot eat money, oh no When the last tree has fallen And the rivers are poisoned You cannot eat money, oh no Oh no Suffocate me So my tears can be rain I will water the ground where I stand So the flowers can grow back again 'Cause just like the seed Everything wants to live We are burning our fingers But we learn and forgive You cannot eat money, oh no You cannot eat money, oh no When the last tree has fallen And the rivers are poisoned You cannot eat money, oh no When the last tree has fallen And the rivers are poisoned You cannot eat money, oh no Oh no Feed me sunlight, feed me air In a place where nothing matters Feed me truth and feed me prayer (dancing around a shooting star) And every cell remembers Feed me sunlight, feed me air (that have taken us this far) I see images of killer whales Feed me truth and feed me prayers (sleeping in a desert trail) Dreaming of a parallel world where nothing ever hurts Dreaming of a parallel world where nothing ever hurts You cannot eat money, oh no You cannot eat money, oh no When the last tree has fallen And the rivers are poisoned You cannot eat money, oh no When the last tree has fallen And the rivers are poisoned You cannot eat money, oh no Oh no Songwriters: Aurora Aksnes / Michelle Leonard / Nicolas Rebscher The Seed lyrics © BMG Rights Management, Downtown Music Publishing

I feel like she is directly connected to my soul. For me to come out and publicly admit this really says something. Just like the seed I don't know where to go Through dirt and shadow, I grow I'm reaching light through the struggle Just like the seed I'm chasing the wonder I unravel myself All in slow motion You cannot eat money, oh no You cannot eat money, oh no When the last tree has fallen And the rivers are poisoned You cannot eat money, oh no You cannot eat money, oh no You cannot eat money, oh no When the last tree has fallen And the rivers are poisoned You cannot eat money, oh no Oh no Suffocate me So my tears can be rain I will water the ground where I stand So the flowers can grow back again 'Cause just like the seed Everything wants to live We are burning our fingers But we learn and forgive You cannot eat money, oh no You cannot eat money, oh no When the last tree has fallen And the rivers are poisoned You cannot eat money, oh no You cannot eat money, oh no You cannot eat money, oh no When the last tree has fallen And the rivers are poisoned You cannot eat money, oh no Oh no Feed me sunlight, feed me air In a place where nothing matters Feed me truth and feed me prayer (dancing around a shooting star) And every cell remembers Feed me sunlight, feed me air (that have taken us this far) I see images of killer whales Feed me truth and feed me prayers (sleeping in a desert trail) Dreaming of a parallel world where nothing ever hurts Dreaming of a parallel world where nothing ever hurts You cannot eat money, oh no You cannot eat money, oh no When the last tree has fallen And the rivers are poisoned You cannot eat money, oh no You cannot eat money, oh no You cannot eat money, oh no When the last tree has fallen And the rivers are poisoned You cannot eat money, oh no Oh no

I listened to the whole thing with my eyes closed and It was magic, like a flight, my soul went away for five minutes and then came back. A river of emotions, thank you Aurora, thank you Silja and thank you all band members.

I used to read so much as a kid. Then I stopped. The one book that I still remember visualising vividly was The Secret Garden. This song feels like a soundtrack to that book and that time in my life when everything seemed fine. And easy.
