I'm 45 and Aurora is the only artist that has made me cry from music. At this point I'm starting to think shes an alien sent to earth to heal people with music before the climate apocalypse.

She's akin in many ways to Jane Siberry. If you don't know who Jane is, it's because she left the label-controlled industry and publishes her music on her own website. And there's some here on youtube. I've cried a lot with Jane's music. edit: I'm 61.

Aurora, I don’t comment often, but I wanted to say,, I’ve been a fan for almost nine years now, and your music has helped me in more ways than I could ever describe. When I was at my lowest I would listen to your songs, and even now on my harder days I go to them for comfort. I am so so grateful to you, and so glad you continue to make music. @@jenwoods2352 It's cool to realize so many people share my same situation. :) I discovered her 4 years ago and became a mega fan instantly. 2 years ago I was _very_ depressed. After work, I would dim lights, light candles, lay in bed, and put on one of her longer interviews or livestreams. Mixtape Memoirs was a big one, I easily listened to that 20 times in full lol. Her voice is perfect ASMR...but she's also supremely wise and kind. _And_ an extreme introvert, like me. But an example of an introvert thriving in the world. I can't afford therapy. But Aurora became my own version of therapy. Honestly, if I think too deeply about the impact she's had on my life, and the comfort and hope she's given me over these 4 years, it will literally make me cry...

OMG Guys I'm in Norway right now can't wait to see her live for the first time tomorrow!

I don't think I've ever had to stop a song because of how much it moves me... "and love the things I know might disappear"... This is getting personal but I don't mind people reading it. I've lost people in my life, but in 2018 I lost my dad, and last year (2023) I lost a very dear friend... I have been going through therapy recently and realised I'd stopped allowing myself to make friends/keep friendships because I was too scared to love them when they, too, will inevitably pass away/leave for other reasons. I have shut nearly everyone out, and have spoken about how I'm too scared to lose again. Hearing those words was like a punch directly into my emotions, and I even had to stop eating because I felt like I couldn't hold anything in for a moment. Aurora, I know you likely won't see this, but I just want to thank you as you have reopened my eyes to emotions since I started listening to you (which was only in the last couple of years). You have reminded me that emotions are beautiful and I've been working really hard to allow myself to feel them again. Hearing those words from you has, quite frankly, stunned me and I've sat with it for a while. Thank you for your art. ❤

"Hit me hard where I am soft" I know it must feel so difficult to want to form connections again after so much loss. I'm sure you're such a beautiful soul, and that your presence is a gift. I hope you can find someone to connect with. Someone who will appreciate you and put in the same effort as you want to give out. Healing from loss is so painful, but I'm so glad to hear that you're on a journey to feel again. Feeling is such a beautiful thing even if it can be scary. I know i'm not Aurora, but your struggles and story do not go unrecognized.

@@karartistry Hi, I lost my dad a while ago so I understand. It can feel like a fog of emptiness sinks into your whole being but that’s all part of what we have to go through in life. You feel that way because you loved them and that feeling is a price worth paying for having had them in your life in the short time that they were here. I’m sure your dad and your friend would want nothing more than for you to be able to live your life with an open heart. Yes, it’s a risk that you may get hurt and likely will but it’s also worth it. I know what it’s like to lock your heart away in a cage too because I did for a very long time (for other reasons). Give yourself as much time as you need to heal but when the time feels right, just reach out and turn the key in that lock. Good luck!🙂

I had a dream about you last night. You were blind and taking a group of your concert goers to dinner. You were crying, expressing how sad you were to lose your eyes, as anyone would be. But you explained also your hopes of becoming a better listener.

The vocals sound like Aurora is channeling Bjork, which couldn't be a bigger compliment. The content, the syntax, and the delivery are all very reminiscent of Bjork, while the song is still extremely Aurora.

Writing this with a huge headache in the middle of the night, her words are my savior. I’m in one of the hardest stages of life, having to spend all my time struggling to achieve my dream. Whenever i feel as if the little woman in my head is missing, or just wandering in the land of worries and doubts, i listen. I listen to her music whispering me how okay it is to be human. I’ve never felt more inferior and lame before as one of those “gifted” kids. I have very little time left to succeed and as the day gets near anxiety flow in my veins and i start to unhear myself. She helps me quiet those voices of others and rehear mine. Thank you Aurora, thank you for being there with your little ghost 🌱

I LOVE AURORA

I don't know why the ability Aurora has to strike right at my core, to fill me with wonderment that lifts my heart from the mundane to longing for something that ought to be without knowing exactly what that is, still surprises me... But it does.

I've been listening to Aurora since 2014 and not a single have I gone without chills when hearing her music

I love how Aurora's songs feel so personal, yet still leave room for interpretation. A lot of the time I feel like music understands me better than a lot of people.

I've had this song on constant repeat, I'M OBSESSED ✨✨✨ Thank you, Aurora, for the healing vibes your songs always echo in my heart ❤

Aurora’s best album was her first one. “all of my demons greeting me as a friend” was a masterpiece and unfortunately her best work. She literally climaxed first album. She has songs on that album she wrote when she was 9 years old, she’s had good songs here and there but she’s never been able to replicate the magic and aww of all my demons greeting me as a friend. Btw theres a song of hers titled all my demons greeting me a friend that never made made it to the album, i recommend listening to it because as i said before that album was her best work.
