AURORA is so special. She changes original song to the her own song with full of creativity and respect to the original song. IMO life on mars is the no.1 cover by AURORA.

Amazing cover, delicate and gorgeous. It's really different from the original (which I really like, by the way) but at the same time completely respectful of the lyrics, which are usually the basis of her own music. And to think she's not far from improvisation, as it is said in another comment... the result is astounding and tremendous (well, I really love it, i guess...🙂). Thanks for your kind reaction to Aurora, this so subtle and creative musical jeweler.🙂👍

She chose this song to cover from a list of songs given by the host of the radio show, and she got limited time to prepare at most 1 hour probably. It is something they do in this radio show. You can see she has the lyrics on the piano. This performance was on April 27th 2017 only 3 months after "Believer" was released and Aurora didn't know the song or even Imagine Dragons, here is what she said after the song: - But in the choice of songs you could cover, you chose "Imagine Dragons", what was the reason for that? Aurora: Ok, I know I do not know new music very well, as everyone probably knows. I looked at your list, and then I saw the name "Imagine Dragons". I've never heard of them before, so I thought it was such a cool name. I am very... I think dragons are damn cool... yay! I wasn't too prepared for their name, and "Believer" was a nice title. So I thought, it is probably lyrics I dare to sing.

Great reaction🤗 I really like the original, but Aurora just makes it so beautiful so much emotion. This was a challenge at the radio station. When Aurora arrived, she got a list of songs to choose from. She had never heard the song and she had never heard of Imagine Dragons. She only chose the song because she loves dragons😊 She had one hour to rehearse before singing it live on the radio👍

Dato curioso: en ese programa de radio P3 de NRK, siempre que la han invitado, le propusieron realizar esta dinámica donde ella elige una canción al azar y tiene 1/2 hora para armar escuchar el tema y armar el cover. Aurora eligió esta canción porque ama los dragones, no conocía a la banda ni la canción real. Han salido excelentes covers a raíz de este "Challenge" entre ellos: Rasputín y God Is a Woman.
