A box, a bass and a borrowed keyboard. Just amazing.

I feel like she didn't change up this one too much, unlike a lot of her covers. But as you said, that voice! So hauntingly beautiful, especially with that reverb they put on it. One of my favorite covers of hers, vocally.

Background for the original song ...: Lyrics written by Elizabeth Fraser were inspired by a French scientist and philsopher Gaston Bachelard ... A Massive attack band member working on the song originally asked Madonna to do the vocals for his song , she said she was interested but the two other band mates wanted Elizabeth Fraser from the Cocteau twins band . So they went with her ... Elizabeth learned close friend , Jeff Buckley was missing / feared drowned during the recording session of the Massive attack version , so she always felt this song was for him ...

Aurora does amazing covers- two of the best are an NRK performance of David Bowie’s “Life On Mars” (accompanying herself on a Fender Rhodes electric piano) and her cover of Imagine Dragons’ “Believer” (which was a radio show challenge to create and perform a cover in under an hour. Triple j like a version has so many great covers and this is one of my favorites. When i heard her do this live on the radio i had to stop work and listen. If your rage against the machine fan than you should check out Denzel Washingtons cover on like a version of bulls on parade. It will blow you away
