Another Proton Arc Photography production with Brett Longden.
This one was caused by a glancing blow CME from a flare on the northeastern limb. Thought to have missed, NOAA removed the storm warning too early and was surprised by a G1. The same period of geomagnetic storm conditions knocked out some starlink satellites that were launched not long after and was trapped in Earth's expanded atmosphere, thus failing to raise their orbits.
