@@sharktooth1811 you have been taught totally biased history in your Madarsa. What Aurangezeb did to his brothers, nephews and fathers is well recorded even by Islamic historians. Aurangzeb imposed the jazia on Hindus. He used to reward his muslim officers by giving them Rs. Per Hindu man wjo was converted and Rs. 1 per Hindu woman who was converted by them. Our Guru Arjan Dev was tortured to death on his orders because he refused to convert to Islam. Two of the sons of our Guru Govind Singh were killed in battle against Aurangzeb's aies. Two were tortured to death. Our Sikh religion was very peaceful till then but we had to take up arms to defend Sikhs and Hindus against Muslim armies. Please real history and not your Madarsa history.

He was the second guy after Ashoka to unite the entire Indian Subcontinent…lots of respect towards him…he understood the European ill motivated traders for their internal vision to conquer which he diminished to the extent plausible. His statesmanship is unparalleled.

Aurangzeb was a great reformer and statesman most of those who hate him and making myths around him to overshadow his achievements are mostly part of or supportive of the once rebellious and groups that he protected the state from. He did mistakes but claims that are fueled by emotions cannot be taken for granted. I mean if he wasn't really smart he would've never got to the throne or defeat the rebels.

Also he comitted genocide against Hindus n so Shivaji taught his armies a nice lesson. Later Other Hindu kings Portugese pushed Mughal armies back.
