The traditional game of Aunt Sally is played in the grounds of a pub in Oxfordshire. The pub is the Three Pigeons and the village is Drayton St Leonard.
Sir Charles Kimber - an Oxbridge man who is the publican - has introduced the game to the locals.
The game involves throwing short pieces of wood at a white skittle balanced on a metal stake. Narrator recounts the history of the game - allegedly to do with pretending the wooden doll is a hated mother in law. Good shots of the villagers playing the game. Scores are chalked onto a blackboard. Losers buy the beer. Ends with a shot of some of the players enjoying a nice pint in the beer garden.
