Hey guys, is it possible to see Mantras? What is a Mantra? Mantras are sacred sounds mentioned in Ancient Hindu Texts and even today, thousands and thousands of people chant these mantras during meditation, rituals, etc. But is it possible to visually see how these Mantras look?
So my friend and I have been trying to visualize the Mantras and we have built this device and let me show you what this is. It is basically a nice vibrating piece of latex or rubber stretched over the mouth of a long cylinder, and we have put a simple mirror in the center of the latex in front of it. This cylinder is hollow, there is nothing inside, when you look from the other side. Now here is a laser pointer and I am going to adjust the laser to make sure the light falls exactly on the center of the mirror. The light from the laser pointer starts here, hits the mirror and is now reflected on to the wall, ok? The light just looks like a dot on the wall, because the latex is stationary, it is not moving, right?
Now, If make a sound through this cylinder, for example I chant a Mantra, watch what happens to the light pattern on the wall.
When I chant a mantra through this cylinder, the Sound waves move through the air onto this flexible solid which also picks up the waves. Now I have transferred the sound from air to solid medium, because I can see the solid, unlike the air, but I still can't see it clearly. So I have attached this tiny mirror to the flexible latex, so the mirror will also vibrate at the same frequency. So the light that's reflected also changes because of the sound. So the sound waves or frequency sent through the cylinder can be seen visually on the wall.
So, let's try some Ancient Mantra through this device and see how this Mantra looks visually, ok? The mantra I am going to try now is called Shreem, this is the Mantra of Goddess Lakshmi, ok? Shreem. Shreem. Shreem. I believe this is the first time we are visually seeing how ancient Mantras really look. And this is very very interesting to watch, but Because it is not a static frequency, I am basically chanting a mantra which has a beginning and ending, you can see that the pattern appears for a second and then disappear when the Mantra ends right?
Now, I am going to test the sound of Aum Mantra on this device, but before that, Why did I even think of building this Mantrascope? What is a Mantra? A Mantra means uncorrupted or unpolluted sound in its purest form. Mantras are usually chanted 108 times to gain several advantages, there is a specific type of Mantra called Beej Mantras or Seed Mantras, they are considered the seeds of everything. You chant them 108 times, to gain physical strength, to attain a meditative state of mind, and gain a lot of other physical or spiritual advantages.
What is the difference between these Seed Mantras and other sounds? These Mantras are special, vibrating sounds beyond human interpretation, they are pure sounds without any meanings. What do I mean by this?
I am talking to you, right now, these are all sounds I am making with my vocal cords and you are able to understand the meaning of it. Right now, you are only focusing on understanding the meaning of what I am saying. Your mind is not paying attention to the sound itself, because it is busy translating the sounds into meanings. Now suddenly if I say KLEEM SHREEM HROUNG, there is a complete blank in your mind. Your mind is just puzzled. Because there is no meaning for these sounds at all. You no longer look at the meaning itself, and you have to absorb the Sound as it is. And this is the main effect of Seed Mantra, using sound as it is, not the meaning, but the sound itself for the benefit of your mind, your body, and for many other benefits.

This is amazing bro. I'm so impressed with your idea. I'm a mechanical engineering student and to knowledge, In the construction of the mantrascope, the things we need to consider are: 1. Thickness of the layer of latex or the material used. It should be as close as possible to the thickness of the ear drum. If we can develop a relation between the thickness of both, we can estimate the impact that is produced by scaling the dimensions of the pattern observed. 2. The hardness of the shallow cylinder. Cylinder might absorb major part of the sound and as we go further, the strength of sound wave is lost. 3. Slow motion image capturing camera set up. This helps analyse the output with minute details! Lets do it. Lets make this happen!🔥

I can think of a few ways to enhance your Mantrascope. Instead of a latex seal, use something more closely resembling a drum. Latex does not have enough tension so it will not display the full results as accurately. My guess is it would be best to simply find a relatively inexpensive drum that has good acoustic properties. Alternatively you could alter the Mantrascope to be laser-less. Instead of relying upon light, you can use water in a singing bowl preferably. If you combine a drum with a singing bowl full of water, you should get much greater results. Have the drum positioned slightly above the ground and well supported. Then place the bowl on top of the drum and add water sufficient enough to see the patterns that form. Then set up the camera directly above the singing bowl. You can leave the camera to record and then position below the drum opening and begin chanting. The resonant camber fo the drum which is superior to your current Mantrascope will enhance the acoustic performance and deliver more accurate results. Great video. This was very cool to see.

A:- Signifies Brahma (Creator) U:- Signifies Vishnu (Preserver) M:- Signifies Shiva (Destroyer) So it is A+U+M=Om (Normally it write like this) It works in 3 stages and parts of the human Body. It starts from Naval (Place of Manipur Chakra) and ends with Throat (Place of Visudha Chakra) by going though Heart (Place of Anaahata Chakra). All the beej mantras (Seed Mantra) are sounds and vibrations. This is outer expression. But in the inner expression is all the beej mantras are lies in all the Six Chakras in human body. And the “OM” is the prime sound of all the beej mantras. So it is very important to understand it to get the full effect.

think of it this way... spectral range of speech... aaand spectral resonse of balloon elasticity.. not a match. the balloon membrane, obviously, retains intrinsic causal response properties and does not present the spectral response of the original signal, but rather something (which has been used for laser light shows sine the 70s). the pattern seen is also, obviously, influenced by the angle of the laser and mirror. the length of the tube adds its own resonances (and is unnecessary, if not destructive, in this device). it is a typical example of the things praveen uses to sensationalise his channel and wow his audience. the historical content is pertinent, but the adulation and inability of the audience are only mocked by half hour "science demonstrations" which only proves the lack of cogency and experience of his viewers. today praveen showed you how to use a mirror and balloon (copied from ancient laser light show technique, not changed at all) - the amount of information praveen has witheld on the topic.....

This looks and sounds like a person seeing what they want to. For starters the 2 sounds look exceptionally similar and there is no comparison to any other sounds so we have to redo the experiment ourselves or just take his word that this is specific to mantras. Calling him a genius because he can provide an extremely narrow and bias view with no control group in his testing is just foolish. It's also hard to take seriously somebody who claims to get horny from hearing birds. As far as music being connected to memories I've loved classical music my entire life and never once had a rush of memories from hearing an instrument. Too many falsehoods and not enough data for any facts to be obtained. He has some amusing opinions though.

I never agreed to this but that's the way we have been told all the years. After seeing your rediscoveries I felt really happy that my wondering was not wrong. I am confident that, generations who built all these structures were much advanced and did meaning full things than us. Praveen, you are doing great job, I dont say this a job, you are doing what you enjoy which most of us cannot but certainly it's great job. Wish you all the best and more recognition for what you do. That is the coolest thing I have ever seen! Ingenious! I want to build one of these now. I went through a period where I would see chakras internally and mantras emanating from them. Now sometimes I see spots of light - sort of like this actually and they seem to be patterned. Ive never tried to 'capture' them. But I intuited that these lights are some type of language. I also wondered if initially we created chakras and mantra by our focus or if they were present and appeared to us. The chakras carry a lot of information and can very so significantly particularly from year to year. They can also be damaged and emit aberrant info. So I wonder about the cause and effect - the chicken and the egg.
