This is a video in my new Core Concepts series -- designed to provide students and lifelong learners a brief discussion focused on one main concept from a classic philosophical text and thinker.
This Core Concept video focuses on Augustine of Hippo's work, Confessions, specifically on his changing viewpoint towards Jewish and Christian sacred scriptures. At first, Augustine viewed them as crude and childish, but over time came to view them as containing considerable wisdom

Fantastic, thank you for this. I have recently started a study of Augustine, somebody I have neglected for so long, you really made the concepts come alive in this video. I've attended many lectures/seminars over my university career and you are one of the most natural educators I have come across. Some academics, great researchers, horrible teachers ;)
