Fantastic lecture. But too long for these young students, majority of which looked like they'd lost interest after 15 minutes. This is a lecture for college students.

Wow! It sounds like you have very low expectations of our youth. Please be careful not to under estimate them.

Is anyone here after the recent controversy at Providence Day Private School in Connecticut, regarding a Black Mother's complains to the school over the reading of the Fences Novel in class?. Her son, Jamal was expelled or dismissed after she refused to let go of the issue of the reading going to Facebook and attacking one of the teachers on line. She complained that the novel was filled with racist language and could depict a wrong view of a Black family plus being too mature for the class, she claimed. The school offered an alternative option foe her son by the way, so what does anyone think about it?.

People are gradually finding out that although they are brilliant works of art, but Wilson's plays are not "kid friendly." Many mature themes. Murder, infidelity, explicit sexual situations, and very adult language. If treated on in schools, it should be in college age classes.
