As I write this, my wife is filing for divorce. I've been a terrible husband, I would have been a terrible father. This week broke me. I have been a sinner true and through and this week the devil finally snapped me in half. Literally the only thing that has saved me this week is knowing that there is redemption. I finally pleaded for Christ to come into my heart and make me whole. I've never felt a peace like this. I will be baptized soon, as soon as I can understand what it means. I survived the devil's sword. Thank you God.

i know not many people will see this but fuck it here goes for the few that might need to hear it. I was depressed, an alcoholic and dealing with the death of my father and grandfather. Shit is fucking tough man, life doesn't prepare you for this or let you know how much it can affect everything around you. People expect you to move on after a few weeks or a few months. This took me years to get over. That's just me. But coming back and revisiting this song helped me a fuck ton. Knowing i wasn't alone, knowing there were others suffering in their own ways almost made me feel closer to them than most people giving me funeral messages. ' I will build you up again, you will be rebuilt.' Those words always stayed in my mind to better myself. I hope anybody going through a similar scenario as myself will persevere and make it through - if you need some guidance - I'm always one message away. Stay safe brothers and sisters.

Found this song in the middle of my study of Jeremiah. The song references Jeremiah 31:2. So like the speaking part is the words of God through the prophet, and the shouting part is the words of God in the midst of the judgement, "making this mess a masterpiece". Outstanding song in terms of the interpretive construction of the melodies and lyrics -- one of the best in this genre IMO.

84ND3R5N4TCH congratulations, you have successfully learned how to take scriptures out of context. don't forget that the bible was translated several times by men who were not called under the authority of God to do so, so the bible is just a big game of telephone. also i would suggest using the king james version because it has been translated the least amount of times ;)

Firstname Lastname You basically just said, "The Bible has been translated and misconstrued over the years so many times that nothing in it is true!" Wow. Way to defend your religion. Google "Horus" and see if his life-story is familiar. Christianity is not special. There are just as many other thousands of religions that are much older and just as likely to be true. Oh, wait. Christianity is just a rehash of many, many religions that came before it. Nevermind then.

84ND3R5N4TCH Firstname Lastname Yes, there are many religions and, Yes, there are a tons of suspicious things in the bible. A person who lives without doubts about your own belief is simply a blind dumb, I'm christian, I have too many doubts about the bible and some other things, but to be true, those doubts can't overshadow my way about believing in God. I can live with it, so, can we just live in peace together? Respect is everything. Ahnn, about the lyrics, if you don't agree with ABR so, just listen to the music, thats enough to make it really good. Peace! Renato Ahoop

84ND3R5N4TCH Please show me where CHRIST commanded people be afraid of gays or to mistreat gays. Also show me where in the Bible a prophet proclaims the earth to be flat (you won't find it, because that's a medieval concept). Isaiah 40:22 and Job 26:10 are just two verses that mention the earth being round. The Book of Enoch also eludes to the earth being a sphere. you are obviously grossly ignorant to that which you "oppose". Tragic.

All religion is made up cult-worshipping garbage that by design holds us back as a species. With that said, I love this band, and take their lyrics and just interpret them in non-religious ways. I'm an atheist, and I can still appreciate them. I also heavily dig the riffs, because I myself am a guitar player and show props where props are due.

This resonates with me from an atheist contemplating suicide, something about this song comforted me. I didn't realize this song was quoting actual scripture. When I hit my lowest I listened to this and something refused to let me give up. ~Jeremiah 31:3-4 The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: "Yes I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you. Again I will build you, and you shall be rebuilt."~ I credit this song with single-handedly leading me to Christ and I hope it does the same for you. if not I'm glad that it is shining a light in the darkness for you as it did for me.

August Burns Red are probably the only metalcore band around that could pull off like a 9 minute instrumental. They really should do something like that, it will truly showcase their talent.

I know some of you think metal is music of the devil. But think of it this way; we've taken a weapon away from the devil and we're using it against him to empower God. That's my opinion, being a Christian myself.

This was the last song I listened to before Marine Corps bootcamp. This song means so much to me. It was my faith in God that gave me the courage and I felt that he wanted me to go. This song represents faith, fear, and the most intense desire to succeed I’ve ever felt. October 16, 2017 my life changed forever.

fucking just..... this incredibly beautiful. Even the small bit of vocals made me love this song. It just goes to show how great this band is. The instrumental is enough to blow your mind. It's honestly a shame that their new album doesn't even come close to any of their old ones. I have no problem with bands changing sounds, but it honestly just doesn't get my adrenaline pumping as much as their old songs such as this one.
