What a shame that the first thing the interviewer says is about her weight and figure and not her personality, accomplishments, and aspirations. Shallow :/

Yeah the comments at the beginning seemed a bit rude especially in light of how lovely audrey is but I guess like Maria Maria says, things were a bit different then and interviewers could say a bit more of what they wanted. I'm happy the interview got less awkward as time went on. I'll always love audrey and hope I can age as gracefully as her ♡

Imagine getting the chance to talk to *the* Audrey Hepburn, and then body shaming her... like, the audacity.. I would give anything for even just a moment with Audrey, and this lady gets a whole interview and criticizes her, talking about her weight and body instead of all her accomplishments and awards. Audrey truly was a goddess on Earth, and no awful interviewer should ever say otherwise.

A majority of 80s clothing would blend perfectly in with today's fashion. Even makeup and a lot of hair styles were normal. Every decade, the fashion industry creates new looks and fits in clothing and makeup/hair. Those are used in movies especially. But for instance, jeans and a t-shirt for several decades has been the most common clothing worn. While the 80s did open everyone to brighter colors in makeup, neutrals have always been the popular choice. So in the end, most fashion is similar since the 70s. Some things stand out when designers come out with something that the public likes. Also singers and movie stars influence the public in the looks they desire.

@@tomr.4199 She was her own person. She set the trends that were timeless. She didn't need to follow any trends, people continue to this day to imitate her style. I say imitate because she was the only Audrey Hepburn, there was no other and never will be again. But they do say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Her classic pearls to her way of doing the winged eyeliner, as well as wearing a form fitting dress and not having a figure like Marilyn Monroe. I just had a thought that made me laugh. Back then big boobs were what every woman wanted, now it's a big butt.

And she aged so gracefully (ladies: take women like HER as role model and keep away from Botox & plastic surgery!). My late mother Adriana Prent was a classmate of Audrey Hepburn during her time in Holland during the second world war. Audrey Hepburn often used the name Adriaantje, which coincidentally was quite similar to my mother's name. My mother like Audrey hepburn was also quite skinny her entire life. My mother lived in a suburb of Arnhem named Hoogkamp which was located not far from Oosterbeek where they went to school together. Oosterbeek was prominent in the battle of Arnhem in 1944, which was a battle for control of the Rhine Bridge that the Germans managed to hold on to, thereby delaying the end of the war by about 6 months. Both Oosterbeek and Hoogkamp were part of a larger area that had to be evacuated when the battle of Arnhem took place, which presumably was when my mother last had contact with Audrey Hepburn. The all-star cast movie "A bridge too far" is all about the battle of Arnhem. The prolonging of the war led to the hunger winter of 1944-45, which killed a lot of people through starvation.

@@gustaaf1892 You're quite welcome. Learning that little bit about your mother as well as Audrey actually made me quite happy. I remember seeing "A Bridge Too Far" in the theater with my father and brother when I was young. Great movie, but tragic, like the real operation. Now I can't help but think about the poor Dutch, like Audrey and your mother, caught up in that, although Audrey mentioned that she had been evacuated before the fighting got bad. Still, it makes me feel very protective of them, and sad somehow that I could do nothing to help. I was just born too late.

What an absolute lady. Even more beautiful on the inside than the outside and that takes a lot of doing.

Not me crying, my love for her is so huge. So devastating she's gone, the way she carried herself was like no other. Audrey is one of a kind soul. RIP Audrey ❤

It’s just something about her and her regality. And you can see the humbleness as she portrays herself.
