The birth of anthony vincent as a channel with Audioslave is just brilliant

I was sitting here in my living room listening to this just now and my husband yells from the kitchen... "Turn it up! I love Audioslave!" Then proceeds to sing along with the song. He walks in and I turn my phone around to show him that it's a cover but he doesn't pick up on it lol. He said.. " Oh cool.. Chris when he had long hair." I'm going to tell him the truth but it just now happened while I had my phone out so I had to tell ya 😆

Chris Cornell is my favorite singer/artist/musician. To say you did him justice is the highest honor I can give.

I’m not sure people realize this is a straight cover and not an impression video. If Anthony wanted to, he could sound nearly indistinguishable to the original track for this song specifically.

My custodian heard your cover today while he was in my classroom. It stopped him in his tracks. He doesn’t speak much while he’s working, but he said this was an excellent cover and wanted to know who you were. I thought that was pretty awesome.

Turned off my Bluetooth headphones so my wife could here it on my phone. She asked “ is that your guy?” I said yeah, Anthony Vincent. We know what you mean. It reminds me of a performance I watched once, I believe you can still KZread it. Hart performs Stairway to Heaven in honor of Led Zeppelin, but during the guitar solo the guitarist can clearly play the solo just as good as the original, but he chooses not to and instead plays it in a way that is beautiful all on it's own, yet pays tribute to the great masterpiece before it. This song is exactly that moment captured again but longer.

Chris Cornell is one of my favourite vocalists and this song was one of the ones that sealed it for me. For sure if he was around he would be giving you the thumbs up for this. Great job man.

"Dude you have so much talent!" What people fail to realize to get to the level Anthony is at requires a fuck ton of discipline and hard work. Mad props Anthony. You inspire me to keep working hard to reach my dreams.

You can tell this gentleman really listens to the vocals and tries to figure out very intricately how the sounds of a voice are made, not only to match the tones of these fabled singers, but to do it in his own way. Its not a guy imitating Chris Cornell. It's a guy who knows how to use his voice so freaking good that he understands how to hit these notes with ease and excellence. You're really great man. This song is a personal favorite in my heart playlist and easily the best version I've ever heard aside from the original.

I record myself often and theres no other way to get better than to hear how you are sounding and just doing it with a crowd. Practicing, believing, enjoying, improving, and try not to kick your own ass.

It's tough because Chris was so talented and beloved, and I've never really been happy with anyone's attempts to cover his vocals before. I can appreciate the efforts, the choice to pay him homage, and the sheer love involved, but THIS cover is the only one that's truly done his work justice. Holy shit, man. This has got to be one of the greatest cover tracks I've ever heard in my life. It is so close to the original that I almost cried, it was like hearing Chris again. Yet, it still has it's own life and soul to it. You made it your own and you absolutely hit it out of the ballpark. Congrats on nailing it. I hope one day you become as big as your talent deserves.

Bullshit, there are many good singers out there that come close to Chris.

The quotes "no one can sing like you anymore" cannot be used to this gentleman!!!!

So incredibly beautiful - the music, the atmosphere, the voice.

This is BY FAR the best cover of this song I've ever heard!

I was thinking, "man, he's not putting enough stank on it." since Chris would always play with every note, demonstrating how much control he had over it. But then as he sang on, you could tell he kept pushing it more and more. By the end, I had chills. 👏

The fact that you could have sounded just like Chris but made sure to sound like YOU and YOU sound amazing makes this even more awesome

Anthony’s tone is way different than Chris’s, their actual voice tones aren’t really that similar though they are stylistically kinda similar. As in I don’t think this is a Marc Martel/Freddy Mercury type situation where you suspect their actual anatomy could be analogous due the similarity in sound. Certain parts of Anthony distorted mix really even have more a M. Shadows texture than a Cornell texture
