Selling England By The Pound is in my top 5 albums ever by anyone in any genre. It’s still stunningly beautiful 50 years later.

@IsothermeMusic A great album! Interesting, just days prior to the pandemic, March 12th, 2020, I attended a concert by Steve Hackett and his band. Their tour was performing the entire "Selling England by the Pound" album! Performance was amazing! Hackett knew it was their last show. Because of Covid-19, their tour was cancelled and they returned to the UK before the airlines shut-down. And, consequently they played extra and extended encores finishing with a stellar version of "Supper's Ready"!

Thanks Anthony , your clearly in league with my bank manager to drain me of funds lol, so many great suggestions, and funnily listened last night to the Heifetz Bruch Scottish fantasy and the playing is amazing, these reissues covers all look stunning alone, thanks for the update , ps 100th anniversary of Neville Marriner .

Marriner. We can add it to the list on Wed, but I’ll have to be truthful.

Hope all is well in your world Anthony. Another great video👍 I know you are a passionate fan of the LSO...like myself. Hoping you could find some time(in your busy life) to do some more videos dedicated to the great LSO. For me, the period from mid 50's thru the 80's is my favorite LSO time, but love it all. Have you ever reviewed any if the Stanley Black recordings with LSO? Cheers, David

Thank you so much for the kind words, David. Stanley did a great 633 Squadron with LSO. I’ll have to stream others. Interesting time for the LSO in that period. John Burden was principal horn under Krips and everything went pear shaped when the film music $tarted to come in. Many left but were replaced with some superstars who made a huge impact. All the best, Anthony

The Steinberg recordings are wonderful & very special to me 👍 FYI: on the recording of the Planets, Chester Schmidt (principle tuba at the time) played the Euphonium solo in Mars on F Tuba. The joke in the Tuba world always ask" why he did that?"....(answer) because he could 😂

Booker Ervin was released many decades after it was recorded, so no session photos available hence the single sleeve

That session is one of my faves of Booker’s. Too bad it was held in the vault for a number of years beyond when it was recorded. It originally came out as one half of a 2-LP set in 1976 called Back from the Gig.

@@AudiophiliaChannel I have heard about their products. When I run out of my current outersleeves. I will probably scoop them up. They look so nice and I like how the double LPs are on separate sides of the jacket. Great all around bud
