A Bestseller in STEAMPUNK FICTION, SCIENCE FICTION and FANTASY
It’s an uncertain time in the Fertile Plains. Sixty cycles have passed since Alönia won The Protectorate War, but time and conflict have eroded the security gained through that great struggle. Only time will tell if he can overcome petty disputes and uncover a hidden enemy before everyone he knows is dead.
Embark on an airship adventure. Feel the wind in your hair as you soar through the clouds. Solve mysteries, forge friendships, and watch an ordinary boy become the hero he was born to be.

I’d pay to hear a sequel to this.
It's been awhile since I've listened to an audiobook all the way through without a break, it had me from start to finish! 10/10 👍👍

Thank you very much!
Your voice says " Don Johnson " but my brain at this age sees the intro for miami vice 😂. Great read, better listen. Compliments to the narrator.

Agreed!
Good book. Love it.
Who is the author? This is wonderful! The “world” of this story is intriguing- typical steampunk tropes (would love a steam alarm clock, all brass clock works with a little factory whistle), but these people are absolute kick-ass chemical engineers- they have designer water! They change basic properties of water at the molecular level, and it’s still water. Wow! More please, sir or madam.

CSPAN in space.
Came over from the Twitter space.
i cant believe some of these comments i really cant. it was performed the bad guy is a little colorful and not as masculine as written but fun. there is plenty enough dialog and fitting in a whole political system that drives a story without bogging it down is no easy feat. poo poo to you you simple minded fool. just want to add i really love the temperament of your world it does such an amazing job of mirroring the corruption of ours. and the complexity and ambiguity of it as well... i think those first commenters r probly just gvnmt trolls hehe mad props brah
Thank you for the upload. Any chance of the book 2?
❤
The story itself is riveting, and the reading is quite good. There were some pieces that could use a little extra explanation - what is a 'grand fathom'? Why not use 'knots' as the measure for speed as that is the traditional naval terminology? Is this an alternate Earth, a different timeline, or completely unrelated? The introduction battle set a good tone, but was somewhat abrupt in switching to the main story. The gimmick was quite good, but as someone new to this world, I would be lost without some background in the themes presented. I would definitely be interested in more stories in this line, or an expanded introduction.

because its a thousand years in the future the goal is for you to feel like your in a different world without confusing you and clearly you got it. i suspect maybe fantasy isnt your genre
Steampunk🤔🤔❓ may as well start here n see if i like it ss much as fsntasy n history 👍
Hi is there a second book available many thanks Caz 💜
i think am about to pay for my first two audiobooks.... wow dude just wow. i mean i assume your a dude. christian background was evident also i actually read your about the author on your website it was really funny i mean i laughed a couple of times during your book but your humor doesnt really come out in it. pity i really really enjoyed your book man also i went into shock when Mercedes died. really i was just shaking my head with my mouth open for like 20 min waiting for her to come back to life. guess ive been listening to too much crappy fantasy romance junk. i was tryin too work out how frustrated i was with you while at the same time having such respect and admiration for such an untraditional turn.... but in the end... well you know .. in the post script angels never die.. i kinda always wanted to write a book where unexpected things happened. guess you nailed the best of both worlds with this one. friggin adore it man
If you like politics, you'll like this.
I sped it up lol
17:32min
I'd cut the intro. I almost left due to the openers voice.
Foolishly paced too slow. It detracts. Best try it at x1.25 speed in playback settings.
ar
Meh
Fourteen minutes and it's all telling and no showing. No dialogue at all. I'm done.
This book was read, not performed. Get over yourselves, narrators.

Obviously you’ve never narrated. Any public narration is a performance.
