Audio Modeling Swam Solo Strings ( Physically modeled violin, viola, cello, double bass) Walkthrough

Audio Modeling Swam Solo Strings (Violin, viola, cello, double bass) Walkthrough (Win 5 FREE Apps)
These are amazingly high quality and realistic physically modeled string instruments. Viola, violin, double bass and cello. Incredibly lightweight - each app is about 50MB. Forget about filling up your ipad or laptop space with huge sample libraries. These are smaller and likely better quality too. Although this video looks at the iOS/iPad version, everything here is relevant to the desktop too. I will focus on these used as Audio Units rather than standalone. This tutorial walkthrough gives a good overview of the main features and guides you through the UI, as well as demoing various presets and features. I am very impressed with how expressive these can be, and in these examples I am mostly controlling using my Seaboard MPE controller. See the timestamps in the video for full details of what is covered. Please note that there will be a bundle for these but at the moment Apple is still approving the bundle so they are currently only available individually, with a 33% off intro price til the end of May 2021.
I have 5 copies of any Swam String in strummer for iOS to give away to subscribers. Details of how to win are in the pinned comment at the top of the KZread comments section. Good luck! These are only available to subscribers, but if you are not yet a subscriber you can simply subscribe now. If you are watching this after the event, make sure you subscribe so you don't miss out on future vids. I usually have free copies of apps to give away.🤞

Audio Modeling does it again! Their entire collection of apps are so great, they sound amazing. If I win, I’d love a copy of the Swam Cello. Great stuff as usual Gav, Cheers!
Thanks for the excellent demo of these string instruments! The playability and sound quality is off the charts and I especially appreciate that they take up so little space, compared to sample libraries! Truly amazing to finally have this on the iPad…the future is here! BTW, loved the drone example featured on one of your recent videos!

Ah, I've been playing that drone on repeat, I adore it! It really transports me back to my Celtic roots, the uillleann pipes etc
As usual delivering the best realism in instruments
Excellent demo of all four, but the Cello gives me the most chills out of all of these ones.
Thorough, as always, Gavin. Thanks!

Really impressive instruments, I played around with the demo and after I managed to find my play-style the sound and feeling is amazing! Thanks for your demonstration, Gav. I would love to win the SWAM Cello!
Amazing. Thanks for the walkthrough on them all. I would love that cello.
These sound incredible. Love the cello.
Extraordinary vision of the future here. Modeling has really come into its own. All on a device that can slip into a purse! Great video Gav, would appreciate a chance at the Double Bass.
Brilliant, especially the Viola! The developer of atom deserves so much support for doing MPE and so quickly!

Wow, these sound soooo great. And it’s a conundrum, they all are beautiful, and it’s quite a budget, even if it’s a justified one. I think Cello would be my pref. Great demo as always

Thanks for the usefull tuto. I love the cello!
Great sounds, great review, a refined taste. Swam Cello.
Glad to catch this vid. Violin for the win. 🎻
I’ve gotta get an MPE controller! I love the sound of each of these, and what an incredible app ❤️ Thanks for all your work, Gavin!

Fantastic, thanks for the tutorial. SWAM Viola would get along very well with my GeoShred.
the droning part was really nice, dreamy. the "violin" speaks my language the most out of the 4
Thanks for the detailed and helpful walkthrough as always. Couldnt hold back from getting the Double Bass, but no budget left for the others for now. In case i do get (very very) luck, then would love to have the viola.
Thanks for walking us through the SWAM Strings! I’m interested in the Cello.
Excellent demo as always! I really like that you previewing not only the acoustic sounds but also the experimental possibilities of these. I'd really like to add the double bass to my arsenal.. fingers crossed.

Woooooooow I’m not usually that excited for in “real” instruments but the level of nuance possible here is BONKERS. So beautiful. Tough to choose but I’d be very interested in the double bass - until my curiosity for the rest would win out 😂 Great walkthrough, thanks!
Nice demo - thank you! If picked, I would love the violin app - sounds fantastic!
Lovely stuff. Thanks for doing such detailed demos of these- I can think of the most immediate applications for the double bass, but they’re all interesting, really…

Would be so cool to have one in the arsenal! Thanks for this chance! Chello

Such a detailed and amazing sound! I'm in for a copy of that Cello 🤞🏼
Another great one you have been working hard thanks. Double Bass if I’m lucky

@@GavinskisTutorials I love the Koto sound from Garage band but I hate I cannot use it in my AUv3 workflow. Haven't found anything similar till now with this viola! (The Koto sound in other apps like Worldsynth is very crappy)
Loved the bowed double bass...that's the one I want! :)
Another fine demonstration Gav! I have a Roli blocks keyboard, which would pair nicely with this beautiful sounding app. That Cello is sweet!

Nice video :) I'm also amazed by how far physical modelling has advanced. It's a great step forward not having terrabytes of samples although purists might say that some articulations are way too difficult to model. But who knows. It will be insane when ensembles will also be released as opposed to solo instruments. That will certainly be a massive breakthrough in ios for light film scoring and the like. As for the competition, I'd be interested in the cello.
Takes me back to always seeming to get my bow going in the opposite direction to everyone else. Another revealing demo - thanks. Cello would be useful.
Thai you so much for bringing light to darknesses..

SWAM blew my mind years ago but this is just amazing. The fact that they in included all articulations and support for a slew of expression controllers is just bonkers!!! I can’t wait to try this with my Touché SE and Genki Wave Ring ! I feel like the universe is conspiring to make my dream of becoming a composer a reality through apps like these. Awesome!!!!

Sounds amazing and looking forward to trying these with GeoShred Pro. I get lost in music when I play it. I would love the Viola version, and very spookily, I was actually thinking erhu when you said it. The growl is similar to the tenor sax. Thanks again for the walkthrough Gavin. 🤘🏼

I'm excited about these because sampled instruments take up soooooo much storage space. These enable me to use my 128gb iPad as a sketch pad having instruments and import projects into the 1tb iPad. I'd be interested in the double bass, since I can't wait to purchase the other 3! Thanks!

❤️ these SWAM instruments! We’re lucky to have such great sounding creative options.. used traditionally or not.. they’ll spice up anything that you put them on.. the next closest thing to human vocalizing.. loads of control within the app itself which I appreciate as I don’t have an external MPE controller (yet.. always yet).. 😁 Thanks for showing us the ropes Gavin.. 👍 If I had to choose one, right now, today.. I suppose I’d go with the Double Bass.. I think that would be a fun option when jamming with Soft Drummer..
Thanks for this walkthrough! Should I win, I'd go for viola!
Great demo, I purchased a couple of the brass apps, these things are very realistic.Would love to win the violin app

All are pretty good, double bass is my fav.
Another awesome tutorial, as usual!! Count me in on this one, Viola for Classical, Fiddle for Country... I appreciate the tutes and congratulations to whomever the Creator decides will be most appreciative when their name is one of the lucky ones! Regardless, it’s a blessed time to be alive. The Great Awakening has begun!! The next 10 days will be full of shock and awe. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be witness and participant in the great things about to come to Humanity. MOAR SWAM! Liking these and envisioning some quartet arrangements. (As if I will get around to that, given my proclivity towards procrastination…) If I win, I’ll take a violin 🎻 thanks!
The realism from SWAM is so crazy compared to anything else on iOS. Viola is my favorite.
Sounds so lovely, and amazing when you put it through Lunar Lander and Velvet Machine. Would love the Double Bass.

As always a wonderful, extensive and detailed demo of these fantastic instruments, thanks Gavin. This makes my imagination wander around so many possible uses. The current tempting introduction sale makes it hard to resist and I will probably fail because with only one string instrument it will probably not be done for me. They are just too good and compared to the Mac/Win variants very affordable, actually almost a steal. For the beginning I would choose the cello but I have low hopes to win a code.
