Audio Modeling Swam Solo Strings ( Physically modeled violin, viola, cello, double bass) Walkthrough

Audio Modeling Swam Solo Strings (Violin, viola, cello, double bass) Walkthrough (Win 5 FREE Apps)
These are amazingly high quality and realistic physically modeled string instruments. Viola, violin, double bass and cello. Incredibly lightweight - each app is about 50MB. Forget about filling up your ipad or laptop space with huge sample libraries. These are smaller and likely better quality too. Although this video looks at the iOS/iPad version, everything here is relevant to the desktop too. I will focus on these used as Audio Units rather than standalone. This tutorial walkthrough gives a good overview of the main features and guides you through the UI, as well as demoing various presets and features. I am very impressed with how expressive these can be, and in these examples I am mostly controlling using my Seaboard MPE controller. See the timestamps in the video for full details of what is covered. Please note that there will be a bundle for these but at the moment Apple is still approving the bundle so they are currently only available individually, with a 33% off intro price til the end of May 2021.
I have 5 copies of any Swam String in strummer for iOS to give away to subscribers. Details of how to win are in the pinned comment at the top of the KZread comments section. Good luck! These are only available to subscribers, but if you are not yet a subscriber you can simply subscribe now. If you are watching this after the event, make sure you subscribe so you don't miss out on future vids. I usually have free copies of apps to give away.🤞

Nice video :) I'm also amazed by how far physical modelling has advanced. It's a great step forward not having terrabytes of samples although purists might say that some articulations are way too difficult to model. But who knows. It will be insane when ensembles will also be released as opposed to solo instruments. That will certainly be a massive breakthrough in ios for light film scoring and the like. As for the competition, I'd be interested in the cello.

We’re lucky to have such great sounding creative options.. used traditionally or not.. they’ll spice up anything that you put them on.. the next closest thing to human vocalizing.. loads of control within the app itself which I appreciate as I don’t have an external MPE controller (yet.. always yet).. 😁 Thanks for showing us the ropes Gavin.. 👍 If I had to choose one, right now, today.. I suppose I’d go with the Double Bass.. I think that would be a fun option when jamming with Soft Drummer..

Very nice! I bought several of these for Geoshred already but Audio Modelling's versions are a lot more tweekable. If I win I would take the violin or viola. Thanks for the review Gavin!

Another awesome tutorial, as usual!! Count me in on this one, Viola for Classical, Fiddle for Country... I appreciate the tutes and congratulations to whomever the Creator decides will be most appreciative when their name is one of the lucky ones! Regardless, it’s a blessed time to be alive. The Great Awakening has begun!! The next 10 days will be full of shock and awe. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be witness and participant in the great things about to come to Humanity. Be kind out there, things are about to get very “confusing” for many people. Thanks, Gav! I hope you’re fully recovered! Best regards

MOAR SWAM! Liking these and envisioning some quartet arrangements. (As if I will get around to that, given my proclivity towards procrastination…) If I win, I’ll take a violin 🎻 thanks!

The realism from SWAM is so crazy compared to anything else on iOS. Viola is my favorite.

SWAM is really doing the most with the most realistic instrument sounds the iOS has ever had, makes me very excited for the future of iOS music production. Can someone give me a time machine so I can fast forward to 2 hours? Loving your videos. SWAM Cellos for me!

As always a wonderful, extensive and detailed demo of these fantastic instruments, thanks Gavin. This makes my imagination wander around so many possible uses. The current tempting introduction sale makes it hard to resist and I will probably fail because with only one string instrument it will probably not be done for me. They are just too good and compared to the Mac/Win variants very affordable, actually almost a steal. For the beginning I would choose the cello but I have low hopes to win a code.
