Hi there, first up sorry for the long explanation, but I appreciate your video and thought as a owner I should explain the reason for buying this. As a previous S3 2015 owner and putting in some $ to enhance it like a RS3 , It just didn’t ‘cut the mustard’ for me. So then I bit the bullet after wasting some coin..(*DAM it) and put down a deposit (sight unseen on an rs3 last year before it was released). After a demo landed I test drove and just felt like I was in my S3…lesson learnt there.. Granted it is a different sounding engine S3 to RS3. I then spent lot of time researching, testing driving the AMG 45, BMW M2, the Alpha Quad Guil...what's you make call it..., haha, and then said to myself test drive the TTRS. Test drove it and ordered it immediately last October and took delivery March 29 this year. The RS3 is a nice car, but I feel the true soul of that engine was designed for the TTRS, to really grasp the true sports car feeling in a Audi for more than half the cost of a R8. It is the Catalunya red with black optics, all the options minus the ceramics. Even had the badges blacked and roof wrapped. Love the 5 pot sound, and glad I test drove the others to appreciate this beast. One day would love to take it to the next level TTRS-R (ABT tuned with a few cosmetic changes) but the Missus may divorce me. , well hmm???? Kidding. The quality on the inside of the TTRS compared to the M2 does not compare at all. The AMG was nice, but is not a sexy car - practical yes, but design wise outside and for ‘get up and go’ nope the merc didn’t do it for me. Also the M2 I did not think as a rear wheel drive car made sense for me as I was told by BMW, ‘ you can drift it ‘ well don’t see myself drifting every day to work -each to their own I guess. If you are a track enthusiast maybe, but for all out launch, sound, aesthetic sexy appeal with an interior and 5 pot sound to match this was the bomb. Every day to work is left with a big smile on my face and folk driving by and passes by seem to appreciate it.

I just purchased a 2021 TT RS with almost all the bits. I haven't broken her in yet but....damn if this isn't a proper sports car. I was going for a C8 Corvette but GM. Yes, I blame GM for creating a nice car, then not being able to get it out on the street to customers. Totally their fault. But this TT RS is brilliant. My Brother loves BMW. He has an M car. We took it for a ride, and he was floored with how this car handles. The fit and finish are the best I've seen. I've owned BMW, Mercedes, VW. This is above what I had in those cars. I'm glad I found this alternative. Good price, gas economy, fit and finish, that sweet-sounding engine. I think this is a keeper

I traded in my RS3 for one of these last week, regrets? Absolutely none!!

Hey Nick. Thanks for the feedback mate! Is it really noticeable the improvements in handling and power-to-weight ratio?! I am still considering that very same trade... in spite of the extra dollar. I also think I’ll miss the panoramic sunroof. But you’d say it’s worth it for the increased performance?

Nice review again, and although I am an absolute bmw enthousiast, I must recognize this must be a very very nice sports car to drive(and nice to see as well!)... and the engine, this 2.5L 5 cil, must be fantastic..sound, power, souplesse(don't know the correct english word)...everything! Totally agree... I own it... love it... and, tap esc once to go into proper sportsmode and 100% rear wheel drive. So you can go sideways... 😉

The whole TT range is great, but that RS is absolutely brilliant. Glad you enjoyed the video!

What a timely review. I am scheduled to test drive one of these tomorrow morning at a local dealership and am very much looking forward to the experience. If all goes well it will most likely be high on my list for later this year or early next. Thanks for another excellent review on a very cool car.

It was a fantastic ride. I absolutely loved the sound and the acceleration is both rapid and rabid. The interior quality is amazing and the tech is first rate. I'm having a hard time coming up with any negatives at all and have submitted my preferred build to the dealership in hopes they can find one to match.

I'll help you out :-) Tight rear seats, limited suspension travel meaning big bumps/potholes send a big *clang* through the chassis, DSG can occasionally get a bit lost. Having said all of that, it's a belter of a car and if you don't like/want oversteer and/or prefer the security of quattro, it's unbeatable.

Matt, do it dude, I'm from the UK and got mine in March, forget any of the negatives this car just puts a smile on your face every time you press the start button, can even get my 29" Enduro MTB in the back wheels off so more practical than you think
