This is a far better and more attentive service than a dealer would offer. Dealers on a good day can be mildly disinterested, on a bad day they simply CBA! I'm in South Wales, if I was nearer Wrexham I'd be coming to your place.

My car with 100k miles on, full dealer service history, came with a flat spare tyre and a cabin filter that I should have submitted to a university to find new life forms on. I don't think I'll ever go to a dealer.

Baz do the same for the tdi engine with the filter down at the front. Even using main dealer oil filters ive had couple of these leak when i start up but can't see a reason why as most don't obviously. Love to know your fitting process with these filters.

In my experience a good independent is way better than main dealer. Your garage seems a good one.

Ive recently started to lubricate the window channels with a puff of silicone grease on my services,windows operaterate loads better and dont stick closed....

What spray grease are you using for the hinges etc ? We only have Wurth white spray grease

They never used to take wheels off at service in VAG dealers, but 9/10 the wheels are rusted to the hub so this is well worth the extra time & effort. What is the small tablet with inbuilt printer you mentioned ? Is this an add on to your main diag tablet ? You are an huge asset to this business Baz 👍. Top class workmanship as always.

It's a smartsafe 601 max made by launch... If you search 601 max with my name you'll see how good it is... And no it's not part of my main diag it's more of a service tool but it's more than capable of doing everything a full blown diag machine will do and more

You forgot to check the cabin air filter and depending on mileage replace the haldex oil and clean filter! Commonly not do correctly at Audi…… causing pump to fail and need replacing!

we don't have that Launch in south east Europe... can you recommend another made lubricating oil for the door hinges? im looking at WÜRTH HHS 2000 synthetic lubricating oil, do you recon is it OK?

I always allow extra time if a main dealer serviced vehicle comes in, the wheels are always stuck on as they seldom remove them.

Don’t take this the wrong way but you allow for extra time to give the wheels a couple of hits with a mallet?

It could be said that the extra time is also for cleaning the hub face and wheel rim it was just a light hearted comment a bit of motor trade banter.@@gm1777
