Love the car! Almost the exact spec that I want! One thing I noticed that I figured I'd mention - you should be a bit more careful with recording as you leave your house if you have the navigation open on your MMI. I'm sure you keep a low profile and don't attract much negative attention but it's still not good to be putting that information out there. P.S. - let me know if you end up selling the car! I'm also in South Florida and am currently shopping around for one.

Love your video and your car is amazing! i have a 2010 r8 with the gated manual transmission. It's funny how you said about people smiling and giving you the thumbs up! It happens to me too quite often.. I should put a new exhaust on mines.

@@sagerides3820 The 2020 model is also 2nd gen. And its styling is even more aggressive than that of your car. And although I prefer it better than the orginal, I also find it a bit excessive. Your model will always be my favorite.

Great video, i too ma looking at an R8 for next year becuase the price is very appealing and affordable but I am having a hard time because the Huracan is another option. Anyway for some suggestions on future videos maybe make some POV drives. Those would be cool to watch

Thank you for the feedback and I agree about the R8's value. I decided against the Huracan due to the fact that it is a little too flashy for me personally, and it is reviewed to be not as comfortable as the R8. I will do a POV video driving along the coast (Hwy A1A) soon. Great idea.

@@sagerides3820 Sounds great, cant wait for the video! And yes, the huracan is definitely not as comfortable. Been in both and r8 is very comfy. I like the column mounted paddles of a huracan over the steering mounted though so its a hard choice. The much lower insurance cost and more dealerships for the R8 is also a plus (no pun intended).

Nice video but background music is very loud in my phone maybe put that softer next time

The reason for the sqeal is because you have some buildup, what you need to do to fix it is do a really hard hard brake couple times from 20-30 mph, and then it should go away for the most part, reason being is its a german car haha and that's that, its completely normal too, happened to my 2020 R8 as well.

Actually after I replaced the stock wheels and tires to a lighter combo, it reduced loading on the suspension and the grinding sound and vibration went away for good. It’s been about 9 months. Your comment is definitely accurate if my issue was brake related, which was my initial reaction also. Thank you for the comment, and hopefully it helps someone else who views the channel.

How is the car doing now? I just got a 2020 with 12K miles on it. I still can't drive it because I got it shipped from halfway accross the country and we are waiting for the right documents to be sent to register it. I can't frigging wait!

Hey Tony, thank you very much. I have stated value insurance through Leland West which runs about $2k per year. Maintenance is just an oil change every year, since mine is still under warranty until late 2021. Payments vary by individual based on down payment, your credit, and term of the loan you choose. @@sagerides3820 HOW?? i live in brooklyn, ny and geico quoted me $450 a month for full coverage for a garbage 2015 smart car, basically a tiny box. $450 a MONTH!! i have never been in a crash or accident, and never filed a claim of any kind. i asked how much it will cost to insure a simple bmw z4 from 2020. 900 dollars a MONTH. yeah. that is insane.

Hey VGAF, the policy I have runs $180 per month with restrictions like not using the car for errands like going to a doctor appointment or grocery shopping. I can take it to restaurants, car shows, friends’ houses... It is a collector car policy through Leland West and has mileage capped at 3k per year. Brooklyn is treacherous so I am sure that adds a lot of risk which bumps your premiums!!!

@@sagerides3820 you are also required to store it somewhere safe i think. i would have another garage fee of around $300 or more WITH other people parking near it to boot! a real private indoor garage would be closer to $400 or $500 a month.

Yes, correct...though it is in my house garage in suburban South Florida!

at low speed it's normal that noise about the brakes. no need to worry about. all the r8 do that. i don't know about the facelift model but the brakes should be the same

Are you taking them to tracks or just for road? I’ve driven em both and I would say get the Porsche for track days or buy the R8 for daily driving.

Depends on what kind of race. On track the 570s will probably win because it’s accelerating harder at high speed. But on drag race the R8 might win because of better launch.

Change those old Gen 2 wheels off and put some nice new HRE concave mono's on her! Put R8 seatbelt covers over the factory, looks great on mine!

Windshield, door windows and rear window between passenger compartment and engine. I did not tint the back glass over the engine. I am not sure how it would hold up with the heat anyway.

Last week, I had my paint protection film redone with Xpel and had the whole car ceramic coated. Looks amazing, will get a video out soon. Just been super busy.

Good question...mostly guys but every once in a while a cute girl will do a double take of the car. In Florida, nice cars are everywhere, but I bet in smaller less flamboyant cities, you would get more attention.

If you can afford a car like this. Your not concerned about gas mileage lol

I’ve driven two different Hurucan and they both made that noise when braking at low speed

Interesting that they haven't fixed that. I bet with after market lighter wheels, the Huracan would lose the low speed braking noise as well.
