q7 sounds like the 4.2fsi it doesnt have much off the line because of how much it weights but it does pull strong after that, clearly shown here. we have one in my household :)

agree i have mine since 2010, this car makes me happy every time I drive it (3.0 diesel engine) yet there is some truble in big cities with small parkings spots :) you just have 2 know how to use your q7 :)

its because of the rearend gear ratio. your infinity has high ratio the audi has lower. having high ratio gears will make a car jump the line quicker but will make you have to shift more often...

what ive noticed about German cars that that they are lazy off the line but once they open up, they destroy. Asian cars are very quick at start but after a while they lose it. its just how they are set up. Germany is very open, Asia is very crowded, theres your answer. The Audi actually one this race by a nose but the Infiniti wrecked off the line. And I was expecting this race to be just that. No surprises.

This is a dumb comparison anyway. The Q7 is longer and heavier (3 row seat). It should be compared against the QX60 which also has 3 rows. Secondly I don’t think Infiniti’s are quicker off the line. German cars utilize turbos with “useable” power at the lower end e.g my wife’s Audi Q5 has about 252lbft of torque at 1200 rpm whereas the Infiniti QX70 has its max torque at something like 5000 rpm. If anything, the Infiniti’s have higher horsepower (325 hp in QX70) and therefore higher top speed and the German equivalents have lower hp (around 250 hp) so they’re not quicker at the top end but have better acceleration.

v8 vs v8? im sure the fx50 would destroy the 4.2...then the w12 would come along...

@1006Will Oh yes, the Cayenne Turbo is an exception. Not just any Cayenne but the Turbo version. Anyhow, I would not trade the FX for the Cayenne. There are a lot of Cayenne owners in our FX forum and common comments on the Cayenne is that it stays more in the shop than in the road. That is a quote of owners so I can't attest to that as a testimony.

Infiniti, I have a 2017 AWD QX50. On the way to work this morning, I flammed an Audi Q7, 4.2. I wasn't even looking for a showdown, I mean it's an SUV right, I have a friggin dog barrier fence which you can clearly see and my MJXBugs Drone sticker clearly visible right??? Next light I put that Audi in the rear view. I need to be really careful I don't become obsessed.

I just thinks it’s hilarious how most fx35 owners thinks theses things are so fast always trying to race me, kid down the street learned the hard way I took his money, he kept telling how his modified fx35 would beat my then stock 2020 5.0 I kept telling him don’t waist your time you won’t get me he didn’t listen it wasn’t even close he got smoked

For a car that weights 5800 pounds, and this one probably has the 3.0 TDI which is a horribly small engine for that kind of mass, I think it did rather well...!
