Audi Q3 (8U) lower rear light removal for bulb change
How to remove lower rear light assembly on Audi Q3 (8U) to replace W16W bulbs. Check out this tutorial and follow it in your car. Procedure is simple and it requires some basic tools: phillips screwdriver, prying tool, small suction cup.
🛠 Pry the towing eye cover from the top, access the mounting screw from underneath, unscrew it with phillips screwdriver, use suction cups to safely remove the #light assembly, optionally disconnect the wiring, remove desired bulb holder, replace the W16W bulb, put everything back together.
ℹ️ In this video you can see me replacing white #reverse light LED with a standard bulb, because the replacement was causing blow bulb error. LED that I've used was designed not to trigger the fault code, but it seams like Audi #Q3 system is very sensitive and not all CAN-BUS ready LEDs will work in it.

Indicator, position/brake, fog. I believe cars with light in the trunk door are required to have backup lights in the bumper.
Will his work for a 2022 Q5? I’m getting ready to replace all incandescent with LEDS. This is the only video I seen with suction cups. I think that’s a great idea. I just need to learn how to remove the plastic cover in the bumper without scratch it. I’m pretty bad at scratching things when I revive things.

@@mrfixpl worked great, unfortunately one side was hard to remove from the part that is inserted in the bumper and I scratched the edge of the bumper a bit, oh well. Best video. Unfortunately, all the bully malfunction alarms went off. Only reverse light works with LED. At least all the dirty colored lights are gone

I followed your steps but now none of the lights work on that light panel. I put in an LED bulb

Haha, true! Actually I shot the halogen-to-LED conversion but decided to trash it because of the fault code. Don’t want somebody to buy the same LEDs for Q3 after watching the tutorial.

Just tried today. Doesn’t come as easily as in the video… I stopped I didn’t wanted to break it.
Of course it doesnt look the same at all with my car while we have similar car model and year. How dare did i think i could do this. Off to the car shop 😖
