That middle section was throttling almost everybody except the Italy champ, while Val & the Austrian really impressed seemed Sarah & Mikaela had to manage with what remained of the course, then leans on poles & lifts another globe!😆

Mikaela is a "clinic" every time she comes down the mountain. If there is a mistake, she may feel it but we don't see it!

YES! USA USA... ...simply find the fastest way to make a turn (on the fastest skies) and do it that way every time! I Love this way of showing races with no commentary, we can hear the sound of the skis. And you know the quieter the turns the faster - when developing this new style, staying super low and no pole plants at all, we found that for every second of loud skidding noise it adds a second to the time, basically, for a rough estimate. Also wear mittens.

They’re pole planting. 50:45 I watched Michaela and the only time she’s not pole planting is when she’s tucking.

@@keirfarnum6811 Being a 'knuckle dragger' doesn't count. With her hips just 2.3 inches off the snow on every turn reaching up to make a pole plant would only raise her position and time. Look up top Pro racer Bernard Knauss, to see how his super low stance allowed him to win every run of every race for an entire season of the long gone Pro circuit {and wrecked his lower back, but he was unbeatable}.

Where is all the snow???

The 2 nd place girl uses old school length skis.👍👍

The ski lengths are all set by FIS rules. There is no ‘old school’ lengths.

Unlikely.The skis the racers hold in the ceremony aren't necessarily the same ones they skied on. Immediately after the run, a race official takes them to verify they are legal. That ski Brignone is holding is considerably longer than the the ones she held up after the Tremblant double,, and is probably a DH or SG.

@@treborheminway3814 Short is a relative term, and they do have upper and lower limits. assets.fis-ski.com/image/upload/v1561994644/fis-prod/assets/Specifications_for_Alpine_Competition_Equipment_July_2019.pdf Side cut matters (mostly) over length. They generally are “off the shelf” skis.
