Same here and bought a febi bilstein as a replacement..looks more sturdy but might be the same manufacturer 😅

I need help installing mine. There’s pipe that goes from the expansion tank Where exactly does it go to the back of the engine. Or do a quick video on an Audi 1.8 tfsi

Hi great video i have had the same problem but with my A4 there the same tank and mine leaking exactly the same place i got a new one but wanted to know why the was a bag in it and it a filter bag for any dirt that may get in the tank anyway after watching your video I have the courage to do it myself wish me luck lol

really useful, I have crack on the reservoir in exact same place. May ask between 2:14 and 2:17 the coolant has gone from the reservoir, did you remove this off camera or did you collect it as it came out the pipe you removed at the bottom? thanks!

I was thinking the same thing. I'm about to replace mine and wanted to see the best way to capture as much of the current coolant as possible to avoid mess 😅

Hello thanks for watching I just replaced the coolent with new and squeezed the air out the pipes

I had the same crack in same place. I was told it was because I had an oil leak, so the engine overheated and damaged the coolant tank.

I believe it’s a common fault with the tank

It will be the float for the low coolant level i would guess.👍

So how did you get the coolant out? It was full. Did it just spill out the bottom?

Yeah, it just spilled out the bottom and then I just topped it up thanks for watching

Mines just cracked in that very same spot today. Seems like it's a common thing.
