Thank you heaps, it was really great help and right information in this video. I got my stereo and both cameras installed by professional car audio installers but nothing worked properly... All Audis are particularly complicated when installing after market eBay head units and cameras. Rear speakers are dead if you have standard A3 concert factory radio (Extrons fit directly only if you have Bose system) so additional wiring needed to be done, at least Extron provided diagram on their site. Rear camera was a nightmare, voltage drop and distorted picture, but it's been fixed now. Thank you.

How did the wire hold up pinched in that grommet? I did the same thing, but am concerned about it being pinched off. I would appreciate input, thanks for the video, its informative.

Nice video, I’m have the same set up of xtrons stereo and xtrons camera and fitting camera tomorrow. Only difference is mine is a3 cabriolet, so will need to work out the cable route along floor! Can I ask where did you get the rubber floor mats or did they come with the car? Thanks 😎

Thank you for all. I have a question. Did you use cod or not ? I buy from aliexpress camera ın not sure ıf ı need some cod. My car is 2017 audi a3 sedan 8v.

Nice video will be a massive help as doing mine in next few days. Question for you. Where did you drill the hole to get the Jack's through? Was it right behind the plastic plate the cam fits to and did you put anything on it after? Cheers

Thank you 🙏🏻 I didn’t drill anything for the jack, just put it behind that plate when I unscrewed it and when I put the plate back on and tighten it, it was fine because the cable is thin and it didn’t need to be drilled.

You get two plastic things that you use to remove it

You don’t need a relay if you connect all wires correctly. At the rear is correct, but in the front you have to connect the red wire to the cable which says “reverse” on the multimedia

И аз бях взел плюс от крушката на задната, но имаше смущения от системата, която следи за изгоряла крушка. При теб окей ли е? Моята мулмимедия си има reverse кабел и като взех плюс от нея вече нямам проблеми. (сега видях, че си обяснил проблема)

Hi I have a problem with ejecting this radio with these orange tools nowhere can I find instructions on how to do it? maybe you could explain somehow or make a short video I think there are a lot of us?

They provide you these flat orange tools which need to go on both left and right side. They push the clip which holds the radio from coming out and after that just pull it out, it comes off easy.

Where did you connect the cable from the relay to the battery? You did not show that in the video, and I am having a hard time with this part. Thanks

@@colinmachale2560 Its the 12V 30a one from halfords, i used the same and working fine. Just make sure you use crimps and dont have really poor connections like in teh vid 🤐🤐

A reverse camera on an A3 man If you can't reverse that you shouldn't be driving. I only use reverse camera on a van or lorry. The only time I find them useful 🤦🏻‍♂️

It's not about being able to reverse, it's the fact that a tear view camera gives you a better view of what's behind you, even some things that are invisible from sight. Even an arrogant person like you might find it useful
