Really great guide thanks a million bud - the mrs' A1 due a full service in the next couple of months - not looking forward to getting those coil packs out! Can you recommend a cheap machine that will enable me to reset the service/inspection or is VCDS/a really expensive professional level scanner the only option?

Thanks for the comment, really appreciate that! I haven’t required a cheap reader for resetting the service lights on VWs as I have access to some much more expensive machines. I have a couple of circa £100 Autel units but I don’t actually know if they’d do the job, will be worth checking though.

I think they’re a standard 10mm spark plug which is either 17 or 18mm off the top of my head? I’m probably wrong.
