Fantastic video - Every single step was included, clearly shown and explained. A lot of similar type videos on YT often miss steps out, causing confusion when someone attempts the task themselves.

Great video! Just a heads up, those metal tabs aren't slide in/out for a-pillar removal. The slit in the a-pillar tab mount is to replace the metal tabs as needed. The metal tabs simply pull out of their slots in the body sheet metal and press back in. If one stays in the body, pull it out of the body with the pliars and vreibstall on the A-pillar prior to reinstallation. Obviously it works the way you explained it but that's not the intended purpose.

I'm not 100% sure but based on the gauge of the cable and the location of the fuse box, I would guess electrical

I did out of an abundance of caution. Probably not necessary but I didn't want an airbag to the face 😂

Does it work on Q5 FY (build in 2018) too??

If you have a first gen q5 then it should be the same. If you have a second generation, I can't speak to that unfortunately

@@chrisjay1231 If you want to disconnect the battery, that's not a terrible idea. I would just be mostly careful that you don't 'dig' into the a pillar and thus into the airbag

Is it the same for a 2017 Q7?

Honestly I'm not sure because 2016 was the last year of the B8 vehicles. I'd imagine that it changed but who knows how much 🤷‍♂️
