It's an innovate motorsports ethanol content gauge so you can see what gas/ethanol mix you're running. But you pretty much just check it once every time you fill up your tank so it's a good place to put it.

Awesome platform for a all around car. As long as the frame bend isn't between the tower and a pillar you're golden. Can chop the bad out and tube it.

Exactly what I'd do, it's a solid piece of machinery, even after all these yrs I still plenty around where I live

As a valet I got to drive a manual Evo X, and I still remember that heavy ass clutch. Still was fun for the 45 seconds I got to drive it.

Has to be one of the last Evo 8s. The evo 9 came in November of 2005 with the biggest change being the grille you see on this Evo.

Definitely woould buy it, even with all the problems it's worth it, I've always been a fan of the evo so for me it's s no brainer and most of the mods have been so there's money saved right there.

Some Evos also came as an automatic, so they weren’t all manuals. The only ones that came with an auto option was the Lancer Evo 7, with the GT-A trim, and the Evo 9 and the Evo 10

That's totally save able. Look at what the frame guys just did for cleetus by saving neighbor making him look like a brand new crown vic after it was totally totaled.

Price and availability of parts could hinder a rebuild on a budget. Getting the smoke smell out would be a nightmare too. Good rebuild for the right person.

Tbh if you really wanted to pull frames you could bury 7-10 foot poles in the ground slide a chain on the inside of the poles and fill with concrete.You can use it as anchors to the ground and could use a truck to pull the frame

If the engine and the trans are good then it’s a steal if it’s a good price. You can pull that frame right back into place and reinforce it if need be.
