Great footage. A reminder of how the CBD is only a shadow of it’s former self. 20-30 yrs ago it would have been packed on a Saturday night. Definitely looks safer though.

Auckland looks like a very nice city but so dead. Even similar sized or smaller cities like Brisbane, Copenhagen, Oslo, Dublin, Amsterdam look so much more lively even on a weeknight.

Ending my awesome life overseas soon, it is terrible to think of having to go back to NZ...

When was this shot? If its in 2022-2023 god help NZ, people still wearing masks on deserted streets.

It's heartbreaking to see Auckland's CBD's actual state of affairs. The nanny state has killed the livelihood of the country leaving a very sad trail of exponentially wasted potential. NZ could be as wealthy as Norway and as fun as the Netherlands but is fastly becoming Karenland.

I don’t think it could ever be as wealthy as Norway. No Oil deposits and no multi trillion dollar welfare fund.

Auckland is about the same size as Brooklyn cemetery in New York, but twice as dead😂

Even my backyard in my country is more interesting than Auckland.
