    The different between the 2 types is the same as the difference between a spot light and a flood light. Not sure which is which but I think your smaller 4 inch units without the lenses are more long throw like regular headlights whereas the ones with the lenses tend to scatter light in a wide field. Its why they recommend having both so you can see in the distance as well as close up.

    I bet that side by side on the road was blinded from those things, lol!! I love my Auxbeams! I've had them for at least 6 months now and they are holding up great, even after being submerged in water!

    Have you noticed any issues with your quads battery with the larger auxbeam led light bar draining it? Or problems with your stator?

    Hi, im new to wiring lights onto an ATV, and had a few questions. Did you need to buy extra wiring then it came with? And, also; how do you actually directly connect the wiring to the battery?

    I have used a bunch of lights and for me and my can I have the 12 inch on the front and the two 4s in the rear one points behind the machine and one is on a 10' lead in case of a flat etc etc in the dark I can use one as a work light all around the machine as I do a BUNCH of night rides in the forest!

    Great video. I purchased gorilla whips and under lighting 2 months ago for my son when he does clears driveways but I have not had time to install them. I have watched several videos and am clueless as to how to wire it. I am suppose to tap into the light wire but have no clue how I would know which one. I was hoping to do this tonight as I tore it apart but I'll be putting it back together as it will snow tomorrow and I was hoping to surprise him with it. Can anyone help me? I can give my phone if so. Thanks!

    +Metal Gearz Yeah people either love the whips or hate them lol. I do know people following me at night love them because they can see me great. LOL They work great for when we stop in the dark I leave them on and it lights up the area as we shoot the shit and have a pepsi. Thanks for watching!

    That gel inside those 3m connectors is Di-electric grease. That stuff doesn't not wash away unless hit with a power washer. Working as a mechanic, I kinda cringe using those things, but I understand there is a use for them. Those light bars look great and make an amazing improvement out in the dark. Very nice.

    +Shawn Andera What would be your suggestion to connect 3 wires like that? I would like to know what connectors would be best for future installs and wiring. Thanks man!

  • @ShawnAndera

    @ShawnAndera

    8 жыл бұрын

    Using that connector is probably what I would have done because it has that grease in it. I would have probably taking it a step further and wrapped it really good with tape as well. There are certainly problems when going from a single power wire and splitting it into 2 circuits. The problems I am talking about is while trying to use butt connectors. A larger connector is needed to fit 2 wires in one side, while trying to keep the single wire crimped tight enough to hold because the larger wire diameter connector doesn't like to hold smaller wires very well. With using butt connectors, it is best to use heat shrink tubing. The tubing keeps water out a lot better than tape ever would and also gives added strength to the splice so it won't get pulled apart as easy too. Butt connectors and heat shrink tubing is what I use 99% of the time in my work. Hope that isn't too confusing. lol

    Nice video. However, you shouldn't be riding with those lights on with oncoming traffic. It's the same as a vehicle. Those lights are very bright and very dangerous to oncoming traffic. Be safe out there, and courteous to fellow riders!
