I love ATV camping in northern Michigan. I did a lone 3 day 2 night 160mile trip. Camped 1 night around camp Grayling when they had a week long training going on in the area and there was warthogs waking me up at 1am shooting up targets on the groung. Military camps everywhere. Helicopter was scooping water out of a small secluded lake that I was about to bath in. Soldiers sitting at the open door waving back at me. One of the best trips of my life. If only I could post pics on here. ✌️

Ya, Defiantly require a winch. Great video. Atv camping is the best way to go. 9yrs ago I built myself a atv camping trailer for tenting and ice fishing. 5yrs ago I built an RV for my 6x6 Sportsman for easy camping (it's the same as tenting, lol). I build to over kill everything I do... It's what I do. My Rv is rated -45, inside and out kitchen, shower, telescopic camera mast, cb radio, solar power, diesel heater, shower, wood stove, slide out, pop up for standing or hunting with-in, fantastic fan, porta potty, add-a-room and more! LOVE IT!!! I have a horrible KZread ch. But you'll get the idea. I have subscribed long ago...

That's a great pack up of supplies you carry in the front storage. I also ride a Sportsman and that front storage is incredibly useful for storing my safety equipment in. Mines packed full all the time for the things I may need should I ever get into trouble. Everything from a spare belt, tire plug kit, tire inflator, first aid, shovel, saw, knives, fire starters, duct tape, basic tools for changing the belt and/or removing a tire. It doesn't look like alot of space but if you're organized and good at Tetris then you can pack alot in there. I keep everything that I don't mind getting wet in the rear storage... tow straps, paracord, rain poncho etc. Thanks for sharing, Subscribed. Looking forward to watching more. Cheers from Manitoba, Canada.

Dave, I think you are definitely on to something with this series! Not been covered at least not very much on "popular" channels. I think it's important that wether you are on a 4 wheeler, motorcycle, trike, side by side, a 4x4 truck or jeep or bicycle . Basically the same set up, just more or less depending on your conveyance. I think Shawn will gain some and lose some when he transitions to overland series and metal detection series. Three words come to mind. Improvise, Adapt, and overcome! Keep crushing it. I've watched you since dual survival and followed you ever since. You have been a mentor and an inspiration to me for years. Just wanted to be honest and give you a truthful, heart-felt, statement from my heart. Been with you for your ups and downs. You keep getting up 💯 percent of the time! And come out winning!

Thanks for doing this series, I look forward to it. Here in Alaska, we use ATVs a LOT. When you have to get 20 miles or more into the bush to find your campsite, huntsite, trapline, etc., and there are no roads, you HAVE to use an ATV. You also have to have everything with you to service the machine, and take care of yourself miles from resupply and medical aid. Great subject matter for a video series.

Helicopter was scooping water out of a small secluded lake that I was about to bath in. Soldiers sitting at the open door waving back at me. One of the best trips of my life.
