    Hello from the midwestern United States. First off I want to congratulate you on a great video. Second I am struck by how much I appreciate the gear-head interests of my once considered enemy. I am old enough to remember and have been a soldier of the cold war years. I am convinced if we lived closer we would be enjoying offroad activities as friends. I am so very glad we never went to war and I pray my fellow citizens will have the courage to fight tyranny without bloodshed like your countrymen did. God bless and Merry Christmas.

    Love your content, been watching and liking for a while now. I'm from the UK so the scene for these machines isn't huge and we don't have the amazing landscapes like you do in Russia but it interests me all the same. The Argo's are very clever the admiral transmission is a triple diff like the Brits used in their tanks from the Churchill to the chieftain!! But your home grown ATVs like dobrinya still prove so capable with much more basic tech...goes to show that simplicity is not a bad thing!! Thanks again and keep the awesome content up guys!!

    Long winded I am! Political statement here. Here watching this off road video shows how much alike we really are. Our fellow country men/women are so much alike, we don't need war mongering politicians screwing things up, We the people that live on the land are so much alike, we don't need threats of violence to divide us. We are able to play and party together even though we may be divided by language, but that is easy to overcome. Living near the tundra says, come on out and play. There are no stop signs, no traffic signs, so lets do it!

    As a Canadian who has owned a couple Argo’s there are way better tracks for them then the ones you are running. There are other KZread videos comparing Argo tracks. It’s good to see Argo finally putting some power in there machines as they are typically terribly under powered.

    I would buy the one with 4 fat tires. It twists in the middle and articulates. Here in midwest, USA, I only have greasy mud, shallow swamps and lots of snow. Plus, the repair and maintenance on tracks is many times more expensive than a simple tire! Just rent a tracked skidsteer loader vs a tire skidsteer. Bigger money, honey!

  • @chargermopar
    @chargermopar3 жыл бұрын

    That articulated ATV is amazingly affordable! The tires look like a Sherp which makes me think that Russian atv's are only expensive here due to impt taxes? I like their tracked atv too. I would gladly pay 5K for it just to use getting around the farm.

    Excellent video. Do you have any Argo 6X6's to do a similar test? Thinking wheel base would be closer to the dobrinya. I think I got that right, the Russian tracked vehicle? Of course I am a little bit biased as I just bought an Argo 700 6X6 with the 25 inch tire upgrade, but no tracks yet. Keep up the good work, very much enjoy your video's. You just earned yourself another subscriber. Na zdrolje.

    The Argo has less ground pressure and more horsepower, and for the swamp was the best choice, as was stated. I liked the Dobrinya, which I think was the most robust design, but it could stand to be a bit longer, and a bit more horsepower. The Taiga appears a bit top heavy and easier to flip, or turn over, than the other two. I would have a Taiga, but would prefer one of the other two, for that reason.

  • @thegrantdanielsband

    The amount of exhaust smoke produced by the Dobrinya would make you sick ! That steering link on the Taiga shouldn't be cast metal, it's far too brittle for a critical component. The price is amazing tho' !

  • @kieranh2005

    @kieranh2005

    Is it cast?. It looks like theres a weld on the boundary between the round part and the flat gusset going away from the camera. Although the paint makes it hard to see. It could be the HAZ of a weld where they've gone across the end of a gusset... I've seen fractures happen there on working parts.

    Lots of Argo's around here in Canada, lots of northern oil and gas applications but they are very expensive. The Russian machines are nearly as Capable but a fraction of the price, albiet with Chinese engines instead of the Kohler EFi in the Argo.

    The Argo factory tracks are the weakest aspect of the machine. Whether you use the plastic or rubber, Argo just doesn't make an effective track. I use an aftermarket product called the Alaskan Bush Track. Now my Argo is as close to unstoppable as you can get. Thick mud is the most difficult to navigate. But the AK Bush Track increases the likelihood that you'll get in and out of where your going. Great post.

    Ive had argo my whole career and they are awsome but, not even close to worth the ticket price. Longterm ownership is a serious pain in the hoop due to maintenence. The front bearings are a paint to grease as they are right in under the engine and not much room. Also ganrentee to get clarty.

    Great video! It is quite plain to see that the tracked vehicle is the new ATV to come to market. The big concern is the damage to terrain cause by the tracks. I live in an area where ATV vehicles are very common. The side by side has replaced the ATV of choice. Here the side by side outnumbers the quads by at least 2 to 1. One of the big problems here is trail damage by over zealous bikers. The rut holes are severe, and need constant service by road crews. For that one situation, I would not want off roaders on my property. It is bad! however back to the video, those tracked vehicles seem awesome. The big wheeled articulated atv is no slouch either.
