Attention to Detail: Jalen Brunson

Спорт

In my opinion, Jalen Brunson is one of the best players to study in recent years. He's not super physically imposing but insanely basketball strong, crafty, and understands the game very well. Per usual, I'll take the full deep dive into the details in this video!

He’s a pure hooper, master of the fundamental not reliant on athleticism just skill. Perfect role model for a lot of hoopers imo.

I really wanna start playing like Brunson as a small guard but the thing holding me back is having a handle and knowing how to get an edge on my defender. I mainly just get stuck and think oh crap I can’t go anywhere

Work on bring the ball to your pocket w/o carrying its very useful in tight spaces. Work on your quickness and general movement as well as your handles to be able to blow by your defender. Having a good handles means nothing if you cant take advantage of the open lanes you will create.

You don’t get there overnight or even a few months.Just keep practicing the moves.Start with learning post up moves from Olajuwon and master those before you try Brunsons perimeter moves. It’ll eventually click for you.

@@flight8094you gotta just work on all aspects of that. Protect the ball, attack their off foot when guarded and if they have a stop just reset or get a pick. Dont be predictable in hinting if you gonna shoot or drive. Idk how good ur jumper is but if they can figure out u cant shoot or go just to side then u gotta work on that.brunson is legit about not being the most physically gifted but also remember your strengths. Brunson is pretty heavy so he can body alot of guards and can shoot it anywhere. Practice as if your attacking an imaginary opponent

I appreciate this video heavily. As an undersized player myself I like to go back and watch JB’s game because he almost seems unstoppable at times despite his height and always seems to make the right read. You’re doing gods work with these, keep up the phenomenal work.

"The Gospel is that I am so sinful that Jesus had to die for me, yet so loved and valued that Jesus was glad to die for me. This leads to deep humility and confidence at the same time. I can't feel superior to anyone and yet I have nothing to prove to anyone." - Tim Keller
